The United Nations Compensation Commission(the Commission) was established in 1992 in accordance with Security Council resolution 692(1991)subsequent to Security Council resolution 687(1991), to administer the settlement of claims arising from any direct loss, damage, or injury for which the Government of Iraq is held liable as a result of its invasion and occupation of Kuwait;
