One accused, Fatmir Limaj, was arrested by police in Slovenia on 18 February 2003.

Limaj was arrested on 18 February 2003 in Slovenia and transferred to the Tribunal on 4 March 2003.
The prosecution suggested that his previous statements from 2005 from the proceedings Prosecutor v. Limaj and others be admitted into evidence, which was approved by the Trial Chamber.
Limaj and his associates were accused of war crimes against Albanian and Serb civilians in a base of KLA, in the village of Klecka, in central Kosmet.
Judge Thelin and Judge Van Den Wyngaert, once replaced as adlitem judges of the International Tribunal, finish the Limaj case, which they have begun before expiry of their term of office;

On 19 February, an international prosecutor of the Special Prosecution Office of Kosovo filed an indictment against the formerMinister of Transport and Telecommunications, Fatmir Limaj, and four others accused of procurement-related offences.

The issue of Limaj's parliamentary immunity from arrest as a member of the Kosovo Assembly still needs to be clarified, and the Mission has sought various legal and political avenues to receive clarification on the issue; however,even as a member of the Assembly, Limaj does not enjoy immunity from prosecution for the alleged crimes committed.
