Restrictions on admission.
Pursuant to Security Council resolution 1596(2005),the Council of the European Union has also adopted Common Position 2005/410/CFSP of 13 June 2005 imposing restrictions on admission of sanctioned persons and freezing of their funds.

Pursuant to Security Council resolution 1591(2005), the Council of the European Union has also adopted Common Position 2005/411/CFSP of 30 May 2005, imposing restrictions on admission of sanctioned persons and freezing of their funds.
Therefore, the restrictions on admission are implemented through the visa application process.
Council decision 2011/137/CFSP includes provisions on the embargo on arms and related materiel, the embargo on equipment which might be used for internal repression,the requirement to provide prior information on cargoes to and from Libya, restrictions on admission of listed natural persons as well as provisions on freezing of the funds and economic resources of listed persons, entities and bodies.
Therefore, the respective restrictions on admission are to be implemented through a visa application process;

As to paragraph 10 of resolution 1929(2010), Belgium is implementing the Schengen Convention(Convention for implementation of the Schengen Agreement, art. 5(e));as regards restrictions on admission(visa ban), Belgium has the following national legislation, which together with Council Decision 2010/413/CFSP, and Council Regulation(EC) No. 539/2001 provides the basis for refusal of admission and denial of requests for a visa.

The Council underlined that all measures adopted by the EU,in particular restrictions on admission to EU territory aimed at individuals directly responsible for the events in Andijan and for the obstruction of an independent inquiry, as well as an embargo on exports to Uzbekistan of arms, military equipment and other equipment which could be used for internal repression, remained in place.

Easing of the restrictions on admission of nationals of non-EU States cannot be considered until the effects of the ALCP are known and the scope for recruiting lower-skilled workers from within the EU or EFTA on decent wage and working conditions has been exhausted.

As regards restrictions on admission(visa ban), Germany has the following national legislation, which together with Common Position 2006/30/CFSP and Regulation(EC) No. 539/2001 provides the basis for refusal of admission and denial of requests for a visa: Residence Act dated 30 June 2004 as published in the Federal Law Gazette I on page 1950, and last amended 14 March 2005.
