The Working Party requested Governments to provide for its next session data on total train traffic on the AGC network in 2000.

Considering that it would be useful to continue to collect data on the question, the Working Party requested Governments, the European Commission(EC), the International Union of Railways and the Committee of the Organization for Cooperation between Railways(OSZhD) to provide it with the necessary information on the development of(i) a European conventional railway network and(ii) a European high-speed railway network including information on the complementarity between high-speed rail and air transport, regional development, regional transport and urban transport.
The Working Party requested member Governments to send comments, if any, on documents TRANS/WP.6/2002/3 and Add.1 to the secretariat before 11 December 2002.
In this regard, the Working Party requested those two Governments to advise the secretariat on how this information could be incorporated into document TRANS/SC.1/WP.1/1999/7 on national legal instruments on road traffic safety mentioned above.
At its fiftieth session, the Principal Working Party requested those Governments which had not yet updated the list of important marshalling yards within the European railway network in Annex 1 to resolution No. 66/Rev.1(TRANS/SC.2/165/Rev.1) to do so with a view to reducing the number of yards and to communicate an updated list to the secretariat TRANS/SC.2/186, paras. 66-67.
Also, at its forty-seventh session, following an exchange of views on the possible establishment of a Daugava- Dnieper transit waterway, the Working Party requested the secretariat to contact all Governments which might be interested in building such a transit waterway, with a view to exploring the possibility of establishing a group of rapporteurs on that issue TRANS/SC.3/161, para. 22.
The Working Party requested the secretariat to invite relevant Governments to consider acceding to the SMGS Customs Transit Convention and to update the Working Party at its next session in 2012.
The Working Party further requested Governments to continue reporting on the 4 items that have been followed since 1994.
