The consolidated annual accounts shall be published in the Official Journal of the European Union and on the website of Union institutions.
The Court's responsibility is to issue an annual report on the consolidated annual accounts.
If the issuer prepares consolidated annual accounts, the principles laid down in heading 5.1.1. shall apply.
The Commission has improved its reconciliation procedure and has included the reconciliation between budgetary andeconomic outturn in the consolidated annual accounts.
Where the issuer prepares both own and consolidated annual accounts, both sets of accounts must accompany the listing particulars.
Data submitted by Member States to the Commission in the first half of 2010 concerning the year 2009 is included in note 6 to the consolidated annual accounts.
If the issuer prepares consolidated annual accounts only, it shall include those accounts in the listing particulars in accordance with heading 5.1.0.
As of financial year 2015 the Communication document is presented as part of the so- called‘integrated financial reporting package' together with the consolidated annual accounts by 31 July.
If the issuer prepares both own and consolidated annual accounts, it shall include both sets of accounts in the listing particulars in accordance with heading 5.1.0.

Where the issuer prepares consolidated annual accounts, the competent authorities shall decide whether the interim financial statement to be submitted must be consolidated or not.
The main ones were the annual activity reports of the operational directorates- general, the consolidated annual accounts of the EU, and the yearly“Communication on the protection of the EU budget”.
The Schools' consolidated annual accounts for the financial year ended 31 December 20071 were drawn up by the Office of the Secretary-General of the European Schools(hereinafter"the Office").
CONCLUSION 40. Given the continuing accounting and control weaknesses,the Court is not able to conclude as to whether the consolidated annual accounts for 2013 are free of material misstatement.

The consolidated annual accounts of the European Union for the year 2015 have been prepared on the basis of the information presented by the institutions and bodies under Article 148(2) of the Financial Regulation applicable to the general budget of the European Union.
Where more than nine months have elapsed since the end of the last financial year to which the last published own annual and/or consolidated annual accounts relate, an interim financial statement covering at least the first six months shall be included in the listing particulars or appended to them.

Lastly, Mr President,I should like to point out my astonishment that the consolidated annual accounts were presented with net assets in the region of EUR 58 billion, and I propose that consideration be given to establishing a pension fund in order to externalise the EUR 33.5 billion in commitments to staff.

If the own or consolidated annual accounts do not comply with the Council Directives on undertakings' annual accounts and do not give a true and fair view of the issuer's assets and liabilities, financial position and profits and losses, more detailed and/or additional information must be given.
