Jesus, in speaking to the Jews said,“Why do you not understand what I am saying?

We have sent down to you a Book, containing your message. Do you not understand?
உங்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக நாம் ஒரு வேதத்தை அருளியிருக்கின்றோம்; அதில் உங்களின் கண்ணியம் இருக்கின்றது. நீங்கள் அறிய மாட்டீர்களா?

Do you not understand my life?
எனது வாழ்வை நீ புரிந்து வைத்திருக்கிறாயா?

We have bestowed upon you a Book that mentions you. Do you not understand?
உங்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக நாம் ஒரு வேதத்தை அருளியிருக்கின்றோம்; அதில் உங்களின் கண்ணியம் இருக்கின்றது. நீங்கள் அறிய மாட்டீர்களா?

Do you not understand my condition?”.
என் குரல் உங்களுக்குப் புரியவில்லையா?'.

O my people, who will save me from God if I drive them away? Do you not understand?
என் சமூகத்தவர்களே! நான் அவர்களை விரட்டிவிட்டால்,அல்லாஹ்வி( ன் தண்டனையி) லிருந் எனக்கு உதவி செய்பவர் யார்?( இதை) நீங்கள் சிந்திக்க வேண்டாமா?

Do you not understand or comprehend?
அல்லது நீங்களாவது தெரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

We have sent down to you a Book which has a reminder for you. Do you not understand?
உங்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக நாம் ஒரு வேதத்தை அருளியிருக்கின்றோம்; அதில் உங்களின் கண்ணியம் இருக்கின்றது. நீங்கள் அறிய மாட்டீர்களா?

Ra: What do you not understand?".
இவ்வளவுகூட நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ள மாட்டீர்களா?".

And it is He who gives life and brings death, and to Him is the alternation of night and day. Do you not understand?
அவனே உயிர் கொடுக்கிறான்; இன்னும் அவனே மரணிக்கச் செய்கிறான்; மற்றும், இரவ் உம் பகல் உம் மாறி மாறி வருவதும் அவனுக்குரியத் ஏ!( இவற்றை) நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்ளமாட்டீர்களா?

Why do you not understand what I say?
நான் சொல்வதை ஏன் புரிந்துகொள்ளாமல் இருக்கிறீர்கள்?

Will you bid others to piety, and forget yourselves while you recite the Book? Do you not understand?
நீங்கள் வேதத்தையும் ஓதிக் கொண்டே,( மற்ற) மனிதர்களை நன்மை செய்யும் ஆறு ஏவி, தங்களையே மறந்து விடுகிறீர்களா? நீங்கள் சிந்தித்துப் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

Do you, or do you not understand that?
ஏன் உங்களுக்கு சிந்தனைதிறன் இல்லையா/அல்லது புரியவில்லையா?

It is He Who gives life and causes death, and He holds mastery over the alternation of night and day. Do you not understand this?
அவனே உயிர் கொடுக்கிறான்; இன்னும் அவனே மரணிக்கச் செய்கிறான்; மற்றும், இரவ் உம் பகல் உம் மாறி மாறி வருவதும் அவனுக்குரியத் ஏ!( இவற்றை) நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்ளமாட்டீர்களா?

How do you not understand that I was not telling you about bread?

O people of the Book, why dispute about Abraham? The Torah and the Gospel were sent down after him: Do you not understand?
வேதத்தையுடையோரே! இப்ராஹீமைப் பற்றி( அவர் யூதரா, கிறிஸ்தவரா என்று வீனாக) ஏன் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்? அவருக்குப் பின்னரேயன்றி தவ்ராத்தும், இன்ஜீலும் இறக்கப்படவில்லையே( இதைக்கூட) நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்ளவில்லையா?

How do you not understand that I was not telling you about bread?
நான் தீட்டுப்படவ் இல்லை; நான் பாகால்களைப் பின்பற்றவ் இல்லை என்று நீ எப்படிச் சொல்லுகிறாய்?

Ask the People of the Book,"Why do you argue about Abraham? The Torah and Gospel were revealed only after him. Why do you not understand?
வேதத்தையுடையோரே! இப்ராஹீமைப் பற்றி( அவர் யூதரா, கிறிஸ்தவரா என்று வீனாக) ஏன் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்? அவருக்குப் பின்னரேயன்றி தவ்ராத்தும், இன்ஜீலும் இறக்கப்படவில்லையே( இதைக்கூட) நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்ளவில்லையா?

Do you not understand that everything outside entering into the man is not able to defile him?
நீங்கள் வெளியில் இருந்து ஒரு மனிதனுக்கு நுழையும் என்று எல்ல் ஆம் புரியவ் இல்லை அவரை மாசுபடுத்த முடியாது?

People of the Book! Why do you dispute with us about Abraham even though the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after the time of Abraham? Do you not understand?
வேதத்தையுடையோரே! இப்ராஹீமைப் பற்றி( அவர் யூதரா, கிறிஸ்தவரா என்று வீனாக) ஏன் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்? அவருக்குப் பின்னரேயன்றி தவ்ராத்தும், இன்ஜீலும் இறக்கப்படவில்லையே( இதைக்கூட) நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்ளவில்லையா?

Do you not understand that everything entering to a man from outside is not able to pollute him?
நீங்கள் வெளியில் இருந்து ஒரு மனிதனுக்கு நுழையும் என்று எல்ல் ஆம் புரியவ் இல்லை அவரை மாசுபடுத்த முடியாது?

The things you have been given, and its adornments, are but the enjoyment of this present life. What is with Allah is better and everlasting. Do you not understand?
மேலும், உங்களுக்கு கொடுக்கப் பட்டிருப்பவையெல்ல் ஆம்( அற்பமாகிய) இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையின் சுகம் உம், அதனுடைய அலங்காரம் உம் தான்; ஆனால் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் இருப்பவை மிகவும் மேலானவைய் ஆகவ் உம் நிலையானவைய் ஆகவ் உம் இருக்கின்றன( இதை) நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ள மாட்டீர்களா?"?
