Gnanendramohan Tagore(also Gyanendramohan Tagore)(24 January 1826- 5 January 1890) was the first Bengali, Indian or Asian to be called to the bar in England, in 1862.[1].
During his stay at Santiniketan, he met Nandita, daughter of Mira Devi,youngest daughter of Rabindranath Tagore and the two decided to marry.[1].
When Gnanendramohan Tagore, son of his uncle, Prasanna Coomar Tagore, converted to Christianity in 1851 and was deprived of inheritance for that reason, he inherited the vast property of his uncle.[1].
