When We asked the angels to bow before Adam, they all bowed but Iblis, who said:"Can I bow before him whom You created from clay?"?

நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
And verily We made a covenant of old with Adam, but he forgot, and We found no constancy in him.

( நினைவு கூர்வீராக!) நாம் மலக்குகளிடம்" ஆதமுக்கு நீங்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று கூறிய போது, இப்லீஸை தவிர அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள்; அவனோ" களி மண்ணால் நீ படைத்தவருக்கா நான் ஸுஜூது செய்ய வேண்டும்?
Behold! We said to the angels:"Bow down unto Adam": They bowed down except Iblis: He said,"Shall I bow down to one whom Thou didst create from clay?"?

ஆதமுக்கு ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று நாம் மலக்குகளிடத்தில் கூறியதை( நபியே!) நினைவு கூர்வீராக அப்போது இப்லீஸைத்தவிர, அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள்; அவன்( இப்லீஸ்) ஜின் இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவனாக இருந்தான்; அவன் தன் இறைவனுடைய கட்டளையை மீறி விட்டான்; ஆகவே நீங்கள் என்னையன்றி அவனையும் அவன் சந்ததியாரையும்( உங்களைப்) பாதுகாப்பவர்கள் ஆக எடுத்துக் கொள்வீர்களா? அவர்களோ உங்களுக்குப் பகைவர்கள் ஆக இருக்கிறர்கள்; அக்கிரமக்காரர்கள்( இவ்வாறு) மாற்றிக் கொண்டது மிகவும் கெட்டதாகும்!
When We said to the angels,‘Prostrate before Adam,' they prostrated, but not Iblis. He was one of the jinn, so he transgressed against his Lord's command. Will you then take him and his offspring for guardians in My stead, though they are your enemies? How evil a substitute for the wrongdoers!

( நினைவு கூர்வீராக!) நாம் மலக்குகளிடம்" ஆதமுக்கு நீங்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று கூறிய போது, இப்லீஸை தவிர அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள்; அவனோ" களி மண்ணால் நீ படைத்தவருக்கா நான் ஸுஜூது செய்ய வேண்டும்?
When We said to the angels,“Bow down before Adam,” they bowed down, except for Satan. He said,“Shall I bow down before someone You created from mud?”?

ஆதமுக்கு ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று நாம் மலக்குகளிடத்தில் கூறியதை( நபியே!) நினைவு கூர்வீராக அப்போது இப்லீஸைத்தவிர, அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள்; அவன்( இப்லீஸ்) ஜின் இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவனாக இருந்தான்; அவன் தன் இறைவனுடைய கட்டளையை மீறி விட்டான்; ஆகவே நீங்கள் என்னையன்றி அவனையும் அவன் சந்ததியாரையும்( உங்களைப்) பாதுகாப்பவர்கள் ஆக எடுத்துக் கொள்வீர்களா? அவர்களோ உங்களுக்குப் பகைவர்கள் ஆக இருக்கிறர்கள்; அக்கிரமக்காரர்கள்( இவ்வாறு) மாற்றிக் கொண்டது மிகவும் கெட்டதாகும்!
When We said to the angels:"Bow before Adam in adoration," they all bowed but Iblis. He was one of the jinni and rebelled against his Lord's command. And yet you take him and his offspring as your friends instead of Me, even though they are your enemies. How sad a substitute for the evil-doers!

இன்னும்,( நினைவு கூர்வீராக!) நாம் மலக்குகளிடம்" ஆதமுக்கு நீங்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று கூறிய போது, இப்லீஸை தவிர அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள்; அவனோ" களி மண்ணால் நீ படைத்தவருக்கா நான் ஸுஜூது செய்ய வேண்டும்?
And(remember) when We said to the angels:"Prostrate unto Adam." They prostrated except Iblis(Satan). He said:"Shall I prostrate to one whom You created from clay?"?

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
And We covenanted with Adam before, but he forgot, and We found in him no resolve.

இன்னும்,( நினைவு கூர்வீராக!) நாம் மலக்குகளிடம்" ஆதமுக்கு நீங்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று கூறிய போது, இப்லீஸை தவிர அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள்; அவனோ" களி மண்ணால் நீ படைத்தவருக்கா நான் ஸுஜூது செய்ய வேண்டும்?
When We told the angels to prostrate before Adam, they all obeyed, except Iblis who said,"Should I prostrate before one whom You have created out of clay?"?

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
And We made covenant with Adam before, but he forgot, and We found in him no constancy.

நிச்சயமாக நாமே உங்களைப் படைத்தோம்; பின்பு உங்களுக்கு உருக்கொடுத்தோம். அதன்பின்," ஆதமுக்கு ஸுஜுது செய்யுங்கள்( சிரம் பணியுங்கள்)" என்று மலக்குகளிடம் கூறினோம்; இப்லீஸைத் தவிர( மற்ற மலக்குகள்) யாவரும்( அவருக்குத்) தலைவணக்கம் செய்தார்கள்; அவன்( மட்டும்) தலைவணக்கம் செய்தவர்களில் ஒருவனாக இருக்கவ் இல்லை.
We initiated your creation, then We gave you each a shape, and then We said to the angels:'Prostrate before Adam.' They all prostrated except Iblis: he was not one of those who fell Prostrate.

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
We had commanded Adam before, but he disregarded it: We found him lacking in resolution.

( நினைவு கூர்வீராக!) நாம் மலக்குகளிடம்" ஆதமுக்கு நீங்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று கூறிய போது, இப்லீஸை தவிர அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள்; அவனோ" களி மண்ணால் நீ படைத்தவருக்கா நான் ஸுஜூது செய்ய வேண்டும்?
When We said to the angels,"Prostrate yourselves before Adam," they all prostrated themselves except Iblis. He said,"Am I to prostrate myself to someone You have created out of clay?"?

ஆதமுக்கு ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று நாம் மலக்குகளிடத்தில் கூறியதை( நபியே!) நினைவு கூர்வீராக அப்போது இப்லீஸைத்தவிர, அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள்; அவன்( இப்லீஸ்) ஜின் இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவனாக இருந்தான்; அவன் தன் இறைவனுடைய கட்டளையை மீறி விட்டான்; ஆகவே நீங்கள் என்னையன்றி அவனையும் அவன் சந்ததியாரையும்( உங்களைப்) பாதுகாப்பவர்கள் ஆக எடுத்துக் கொள்வீர்களா? அவர்களோ உங்களுக்குப் பகைவர்கள் ஆக இருக்கிறர்கள்; அக்கிரமக்காரர்கள்( இவ்வாறு) மாற்றிக் கொண்டது மிகவும் கெட்டதாகும்!
When We said to the angels,"Prostrate yourselves before Adam," all prostrated themselves except Satan. He was one of the jinn and he disobeyed his Lord's command. Do you then take him and his offspring as protectors instead of Me, despite their enmity towards you? This is an evil exchange for the wrongdoers!

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
We made a covenant with Adam before you, but he forgot, and We found him lacking in constancy.

ஆதமுக்கு ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று நாம் மலக்குகளிடத்தில் கூறியதை( நபியே!) நினைவு கூர்வீராக அப்போது இப்லீஸைத்தவிர, அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள்; அவன்( இப்லீஸ்) ஜின் இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவனாக இருந்தான்; அவன் தன் இறைவனுடைய கட்டளையை மீறி விட்டான்; ஆகவே நீங்கள் என்னையன்றி அவனையும் அவன் சந்ததியாரையும்( உங்களைப்) பாதுகாப்பவர்கள் ஆக எடுத்துக் கொள்வீர்களா? அவர்களோ உங்களுக்குப் பகைவர்கள் ஆக இருக்கிறர்கள்; அக்கிரமக்காரர்கள்( இவ்வாறு) மாற்றிக் கொண்டது மிகவும் கெட்டதாகும்!
When We said to the angels:'Prostrate yourselves before Adam' all prostrated themselves except iblis, who was one of the jinn, disobedient to the command of his Lord. Would you then take him and his descendants to be your guardians, other than Me, when they are your clear enemy? How evil is the exchange for the harmdoers!

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
Certainly We had enjoined Adam earlier; but he forgot, and We did not find any resoluteness in him.

அன்றியும்," ஆதமுக்கு ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று நாம் மலக்குகளிடத்தில் கூறியதை( நபியே!) நினைவு கூர்வீராக அப்போது இப்லீஸைத்தவிர, அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள்; அவன்( இப்லீஸ்) ஜின் இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவனாக இருந்தான்; அவன் தன் இறைவனுடைய கட்டளையை மீறி விட்டான்; ஆகவே நீங்கள் என்னையன்றி அவனையும் அவன் சந்ததியாரையும்( உங்களைப்) பாதுகாப்பவர்கள் ஆக எடுத்துக் கொள்வீர்களா? அவர்களோ உங்களுக்குப் பகைவர்கள் ஆக இருக்கிறர்கள்; அக்கிரமக்காரர்கள்( இவ்வாறு) மாற்றிக் கொண்டது மிகவும் கெட்டதாகும்.
And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam; they made obeisance but Iblis(did it not). He was of the jinn, so he transgressed the commandment of his Lord. What! would you then take him and his offspring for friends rather than Me, and they are your enemies? Evil is(this) change for the unjust.

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
And assuredly We covenanted with Adam aforetime, then he forgat, and We found not in him steadiness.

அன்றியும்," ஆதமுக்கு ஸுஜூது செய்யுங்கள்" என்று நாம் மலக்குகளிடத்தில் கூறியதை( நபியே!) நினைவு கூர்வீராக அப்போது இப்லீஸைத்தவிர, அவர்கள் ஸுஜூது செய்தார்கள்; அவன்( இப்லீஸ்) ஜின் இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவனாக இருந்தான்; அவன் தன் இறைவனுடைய கட்டளையை மீறி விட்டான்; ஆகவே நீங்கள் என்னையன்றி அவனையும் அவன் சந்ததியாரையும்( உங்களைப்) பாதுகாப்பவர்கள் ஆக எடுத்துக் கொள்வீர்களா? அவர்களோ உங்களுக்குப் பகைவர்கள் ஆக இருக்கிறர்கள்; அக்கிரமக்காரர்கள்( இவ்வாறு) மாற்றிக் கொண்டது மிகவும் கெட்டதாகும்.
And(remember) when We said to the angels;"Prostrate to Adam." So they prostrated except Iblis(Satan). He was one of the jinns; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord. Will you then take him(Iblis) and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than Me while they are enemies to you? What an evil is the exchange for the Zalimunpolytheists, and wrong-doers.

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
And We had already taken a promise from Adam before, but he forgot; and We found not in him determination.

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
And indeed We made a covenant with Adam before, but he forgot, and We found on his part no firm will-power.

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
And indeed before this We made a covenant with Adam, so he forgot, and We did not find its intention(in him).

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
And certainly We gave a commandment to Adam before, but he forgot; and We did not find in him any determination.

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
We had already, beforehand, taken the covenant of Adam, but he forgot: and We found on his part no firm resolve.

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்;( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
And We had already taken a covenant from Adam before, but he forgot; and We did not find in him determination.”.

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
Most certainly We had given Adam a command before, but he forgot. We found him lacking in firmness of resolution.

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம் ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
And indeed had we covenanted unto Adam before, but he forgot; but we did not find in him any intention“to disobey us”.”.

முன்னர், நாம் ஆதமுக்கு நிச்சயமாக கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தோம்; ஆனால்( அதனை) அவர் மறந்து விட்டார்( அக்கட்டளைபடி நடக்கும்) உறுதிப்பாட்டை நாம் அவர் இடம் காணவ் இல்லை.
We had commanded Adam(certain matters). He forgot Our commandment and We did not find in him the determination to fulfil Our commandments.
