On 15 August 2008, during the 2008 South Ossetia war,Nord Stream, a Russian gas project, announced that it had signed a consulting contract with Lipponen.
The new pipeline, 1.225 kilometers long,will directly connect the Russian gas fields with Germany, passing under the North Sea and the Baltic, and will run for 85 kilometers on German territory.
Realization of this project is considered to be very important for the stable LNG supply to not only Japan but also to the other Asian countries,and will contribute to the diversification of Russia's gas(LNG) export sources.
Russian gas company Gazprom(the largest extractor of naturalgas in the world) operate several Ka-226 helicopters, designated Ka-226AG(AG standing for Gazprom company).
The austerity plan will cut social services, funds for education, layoff government workers, devalue the currency,thus raising the prices of imports which include Russian gas, thus electricity, and open Ukrainian assets to takeover by Western corporations.

What does it mean? This means that we will approach closely or probably reach the point of 205 billion cubic meters of gas supply to Europe. This will fit maximum yearly contract volumes for all our contracts of supplies to the European market.We see the demand for the Russian gas is growing further.”.
