One of his greatest achievements was the introduction of Hindustani strains into Malayalam popular music. He successfully composed melodies based on Hindustani Ragas and blended Malayalam lyrics into them. Most of the lyrics were written by eminent Malayalam poets like P. Bhaskaran and Vayalar.

உஸ்தாத் அமான் அலிகான்( Ustad Aman Ali Khan)( 1888-1953) இவர் ஓர் இந்திய பாரம்பரிய இசைக் கலைஞரும், பெண்டிபஜார் கரானாவின் இசையமைப்பாளருமாவார. இவர் பல கர்நாடக இராகங்களை இந்துஸ்தானி இசையில் கொண்டு வந்தார்.
Ustad Aman Ali Khan‘Amar'(1888- 1953) was an Indian classical vocalist and composer from the Bhendibazaar Gharana. He brought many Carnatic ragas into Hindustani classical music.

[1] இவர் திருவாரூரின் பிரதான தெய்வமான தியாகேசரின் பக்தராக இருந்தார். மேலும் அவரது நினைவாக 24 அஷ்டபதிகளை இயற்றினார்.
Like his father, Venkatamakhin served as a minister to Raghunatha Nayak's successor, Vijayaraghava Nayak(r. 1633- 1673). Seeing as to how there was no authoritative treatise on the classification of ragas in Carnatic music, the king commissioned Venkatamakhin to compile the Chaturdandiprakashika, his most renowned work.[1] He was devotee of Tyagesha, the presiding deity of Tiruvarur, and composed 24 ashtapadis in his honour.
