A decision could be drafted by the respective subsidiary group andsubmitted to the Conference of the Parties for adoption at its ninth meeting.

The Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol(CMP), at its seventh session, requested the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee(JISC) to draft a revised set of key attributes and transitional measures dealing with possible changes to the joint implementation(JI) guidelines, andto present them for discussion to the CMP at its eighth session, with a view to developing revised JI guidelines for adoption at its ninth session decision 11/CMP.7.
The SBI recommended the proposed dates for adoption by the COP at its ninth session;
The SBI may wish to recommend a draft decision for adoption by the COP at its ninth session.
The SBI may also wish to recommend decisions on the above-mentioned matters for adoption by the COP at its ninth session.
The SBSTA may wish to prepare elements of a draft decision for possible adoption by the COP at its ninth session.
Action: The SBSTA will consider the above-mentioned draft decision with the aim of forwarding it for adoption by the COP at its ninth session.
