The Subcommittee agreed that international intergovernmental organizations conducting space activities could enhance the legal framework applicable to space activities by encouraging their member States, if they had not yet become parties to the international treaties governing outer space, to give consideration to ratifying or acceding to the treaties in order to enable those international organizations to declare their acceptance of the rights and obligations under those treaties.
