I have the honour to refer to your letter of 2 November 2011 regarding the proposed appointment of Mr. Jorge Flores Callejas as Inspector for the Joint Inspection Unit, effective 1 January 2012.

The Permanent Mission wishes to confirm the intention of the Government of Honduras to nominate Mr. Jorge Flores Callejas to the post of Inspector of the Joint Inspection Unit for the period 2012-2016 see appendix.

Having obtained the required majority of votes, the Committee decided to recommend to the General Assembly the appointment of Mr. Jorge Flores Callejas(Honduras) as a member of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions for a three-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2005.

At the same meeting, the Committee decided, by acclamation, to recommend to the General Assembly that it appoint Jorge Flores Callejas(Honduras), Imtiaz Hussain(Pakistan), Misako Kaji(Japan), and Nagesh Singh(India) as members of the Advisory Committee for a three-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2008 see para. 6.
The General Assembly, as recommended by the Fifth Committee in paragraph 7 of its report(A/59/582), appointed the following persons as members of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions for a three-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2005: Mr. Ronald Elkhuizen(Netherlands),Mr. Jorge Flores Callejas(Honduras), Mr. Jerry Kramer(Canada), Ms. Sun Minqin(China), Mr. Rajat Saha(India) and Mr. Jun Yamazaki Japan.

I have the honour of writing to you in response to your letter of 2 November 2011 regarding the nomination by the Government of Honduras of Mr. Jorge Flores Callejas to the Joint Inspection Unit for a term of office beginning on 1 January 2012 and expiring on 31 December 2016, which resulted from the resignation of Mr. Enrique Román-Morey(Peru) effective 31 October 2011.
