In conclusion, allow me to extend my delegation's sincere appreciation to the German delegation,in particular to His Excellency Ambassador Pleuger for his tireless efforts in preparing the draft resolution on Afghanistan before us.
Following consultations among the members of the Security Council, it was agreed that Gunter Pleuger, Permanent Representative of Germany to the United Nations, would serve as the Chairman of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1572(2004) concerning Côte d'Ivoire from 6 to 31 December 2004.
On the same day, the Coordinator met with the Permanent Representative of Germany, Günter Pleuger, in his capacity as President of the Security Council for the month of February.
