Anton Korynevych visited the human settlements of Kherson region, adjacent to Crimea.
However, the Ukrainian legislation lacks the Law“On the Indigenous Peoples” andthe Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych focused on the importance of resolving this issue at the highest legislative level.
Anton Korynevych headed the working group on reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories.
We will provide our activity in two cities to ensure effective assistance to our citizens, residing in the temporarily occupied territory and at the same time to keep free-flowing communication with central executive authorities, in other words, always be at the center of events toput the Crimean issues on the national agenda”, Anton Korynevych explained in the cause of the briefing, held at the Presidential Office.
Anton Korynevych noted that youth was our future and it had to know all truth about the occupation of Crimea by Russia.
During the discussion. Anton Korynevych stressed that it was necessary to do all possible to keep the Crimean issue on not only the international agenda but here in Ukraine.
Anton Korynevych:“OSCE must monitor the security and humanitarian situation in the temporarily occupied AR of Crimea and Sevastopol city”.
Anton Korynevych noted that the Mission was a member of some working groups on development of the relevant draft laws, including the issue of no residency.
Anton Korynevych expressed his deep gratitude for the honor to be appointed to a higher position, noting that Crimea is Ukraine, as the integral part of its territory.
Anton Korynevych drew attention to the challenges in education for the Crimeans, including certain mechanisms, promoting the restoration of the contacts with the Crimean youth.
Anton Korynevych expected that a new team could achieve great results in protection of Ukrainian citizens and regaining control of the temporarily occupied territories.
Anton Korynevych noted that Crimean Tartars were the indigenous people of Ukraine and legal provisions applicable in this area and human rights protection in the occupied Crimea should become a priority for the Mission.
Anton Korynevych said that the issue of the denunciation of the Azov Agreement goes beyond the legal sphere, and requires the involvement of security specialists, the Navy, as well as all the government bodies whose activities are related to the Sea of Azov.
Anton Korynevych expressed the hope, that law enforcement bodies of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea will make an appropriate legal assessment of the human rights violations and military crimes, committed by the occupying authorities in the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Also, Anton Korynevych also explained that the treaty on the Azov sea, in contrast to the treaty with Russia on friendship, partnership and cooperation, is a technical rather than a political document, therefore it is impossible to say whether the situation in the Azov sea will improve after it has been denounced.
In his opening remarks, Anton Korynevych, coordinator of the research work of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University, said that the post-conflict state, setting the goal of restoring peace and the rule of law, often turns to transitional justice model.

Welcoming the delegation, Anton Korynevych commended Greece for its consistent support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and expressed his gratitude for understanding of the Greek side in overcoming the consequences of the Russian aggression and interaction at the international level.“Meeting with the Consul General of the Hellenic Republic in Odesa”.
Anton Korynevych held a working meeting with the checkpoints' authority directly at the entry- exit checkpoints where they discussed the need for the establishment of pedestrian ways at the checkpoints“Kalanchak” and“Chaplynka”, improvement of lighting at all sites of the neutral zone between the Ukrainian checkpoints and Russian occupiers' block posts including another activity, enhancing the checkpoints.
Anton Korynevych informed about the priorities of the Mission, including its analytical, legislative and human rights activity under the temporarily occupation of the territory of Crimea. In addition, he shared the positive experience of the Mission in engaging with the non- governmental organizations and law enforcement bodies in protection of the rights of the residents of the peninsula in accordance with the international humanitarian rules.
