The draft law on agricultural businessderegulation was prepared with the assistance of the EU“Improvement of food safety control in Ukraine” project.

The main goal of the training is to gain the understanding of importance applying the best practices in milk production andto raise awareness about the changes in the food safety control system.
International lead expert MarcoDe Nardi introduced the risk-based model of food safety control(including milk production) in the UK and Switzerland.
During training, the participants updated their knowledge on the aspects of the use of best practices used to produce safe milk andincreased awareness of changes in the food safety control system.
On 17-18 October 2017 in theframework of Component 3“Involving the private sector into food safety control system” the training for medium-sized milk producers was held in Vinnytsya oblast.
The EU“Improvement of food safety control in Ukraine” project helps in bringing Ukraine's relevant legislation, institutional infrastructure, and state control in line with the regulatory and administrative policies and practices of the EU.
The goal of the Milk Safety Project is to support the creation andimplementation of a modern risk-based food safety control system in the dairy value chain in Ukraine.
Since the launch of the project“Creating a food safety control system based on risk assessment in the cycle of production and marketing of dairy products in Ukraine” in October 2015, it was planned that it would end on December 31, 2018.
The workshop was focused on familiarizing participants with the plannedactivities in the third component"Private industry engagement in food safety control system" and the importance of safe raw milk and risk reduction strategies.
Deputy Head of the EU project“Improvement of food safety control system in Ukraine” Yana Dobidovska explained on air of Public Radio broadcast that they will check up all operators, manufacturers, transporters, distributors, regardless of the tax system.
At the same time, Ukraine has no clear regulatory framework for organising and conducting field studies of pesticides that meet generally accepted world standards for mutual recognition of their results andthe involvement of Ukrainian scientific institutions in the processes of international food safety control.
A comprehensive strategy wasdeveloped with the support of experts from the EU project“Improvement of the Food Safety Control System in Ukraine” in pursuance of the Plan of Implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement for 2014- 2017[16].
In addition to technical topics, the participants also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Concept of the pilot project"Control Program of Raw Milk" and the functions of the software application"Dairy Module", which was presented by Iryna Vysotska,coordinator of Component 3"Involving the private sector in the food safety control system".
The Program implies through inspection of the entire network's restaurant by the internationally recognized experts,improving the foods safety control system, permanent monitoring at all stages of our work- ranging from the supplies and up to serving the finished dishes to the guests of our restaurants.
