Preparing specialists from radiology, dosimetry, radioecology for attestation and examination in Commission of Ministry of Ukraine from emergency situation and in the protection population from the results of the Chornobyl catastrophe, according to the instruction Cabinet of Ministers 156-r from 16 March 1992.

Conducting of large-scale radioecology research within the territories radioactively contaminated as a result of the largest accident in the history of nuclear energy allowed obtaining unique information about response of nature on various levels of biological structure- from molecular and cellular one to an ecosystem level- under the conditions of large-scale and extremely heterogeneous radiation contamination of vast territories.
In the past, the experts from the Chornobyl Center for Nuclear Safety,Radioactive Waste and Radioecology conducted such studies in the southern, central and western parts of the Exclusion Zone, and in 2018 they extended the studies to the left bank of the Pripyat River.
