Development of Trans-European transport and energy networks(TENs).

I voted for the Grosch report on a sustainable future for transport as I believe that its recommendations ought to feature in the future White Paper on the development of trans-European transport.
Encouraging the establishment and development of trans-European networks and the interoperability of pan-European services;
(c) the promotion of interconnection of energy networks andenergy efficiency including the establishment and development of trans-European networks in the energy infrastructure sector;
Encouraging the establishment and development of trans-European networks, the interoperability of pan-European services and end-to-end connectivity;
The Infrastructure Regulation stipulates that the permit granting processes for infrastructure facilities should neither lead to disproportionate administrative burdens norcreate barriers to the development of trans-European networks and market access.
It will promote the interconnection,interoperability and development of trans-European energy networks and access to such networks in accordance with current EU law.
In the framework of the cohesion policy,the ERDF regulation provides for the possibility of investments in infrastructure‘contributing to the establishment and development of trans-European networks in the area of transport'8.
In order to contribute to creating a more favourable context for the development of trans-European energy networks, the Community attaches the greatest importance to the following measures and shall promote them as necessary.
The Committee has oversight duties on the Community measures in the field of energy policy as a whole, energy supply security and energy efficiency,including building and development of Trans-European networks in the energy infrastructure sector.

The project helps to achieve the common European policy to improve the conditions for the movement of vessels on the Danube-Pan-European Transport Corridor VII, which is one of the most important axes for the development of trans-European transport network.
The assessment of these projects shows that they are contributing to the completion/ development of trans-European networks(see Figures 8 and 9 and Textboxes 12 and 13).
The Committee on Transport and Tourism is responsible for the common policy for rail, road, inland waterways, maritime and air transport,such as common rules applicable to transport within the EU and the establishment and development of trans-European networks in the area of transport infrastructure.
The latter specifies that:"the Union shall contribute to the establishment and development of trans-European networks in the areas of transport, telecommunications and energy infrastructures.".
In so doing, they strengthen and expand the rights of individual customers and energy communities, address energy poverty, clarify the roles and responsibilities of market participants and regulators and address the security of the supply of electricity, gas and oil,as well as the development of trans-European networks for transporting electricity and gas.
Article 170(1) of the TFEU provides that“the Union shall contribute to the establishment and development of trans-European networks in the areas of transport, telecommunications and energy infrastructures”.
The Committee is responsible for the issues related to common policy-making in the field of railway, automobile, inland river, maritime and air transport, in particular concerning the common rules applicable to transport within the European Union,building and development of Trans-European transport networks, provision of transport services and third-country relations in the area….

To help achieve these objectives, and to enable citizens in the Union, economic operators and regional and local communities to derive full benefit from the setting up of an area without internal frontiers,the Union shall contribute to the establishment and development of trans-European networks in the areas of transport, telecommunications and energy infrastructures.
The proposal is based on Article 172 TFEU,which covers EU intervention supporting the establishment and development of trans-European networks in the areas of transport, telecommunications and energy infrastructures.
To help achieve the objectives referred to in Articles 26 and 174 and to enable citizens of the Union, economic operators and regional and local communities to derive full benefit from the settingup of an area without internal frontiers,the Union shall contribute to the establishment and development of trans-European networks in the areas of transport, telecommunications and energy infrastructures.

In 2009, the commission launched a debate on the future of the trans-european transport policy recognising the need to refine the concepts underlying the trans-european rail network and suggested that clearer thinking is needed with respect to defining investment priorities16.the commission has also suggested that the development of trans-european rail freight transport would benefit from the definition of dedicated corridors based on business cases17.
The information society, information technology and communications networks and services, including technologies andsecurity aspects and the establishment and development of trans-European networks in the telecommunication infrastructure sector as well as the activities of the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security(ENISA).
