Other agents Antiarrhythmics Dofetilide.
Dofetilide↑(Not studied, potential increase via inhibition of OCT2 transporter).
Co-administration with dofetilide(see section 4.5).
Mexiletine may interact with drugs transported by OCT2(such as metformin and dofetilide).
If you are taking another medicine called dofetilide(to treat heart conditions).
Some types of antiarrhythmics(medicines used to correct irregular heart beats, e.g. quinidine, amiodarone, sotalol, dofetilide).
Problems with your heart beat such as amiodarone, dofetilide, disopyramide, dronedarone.
Dolutegravir and dofetilide co-administration is contraindicated due to potential life-threatening toxicity caused by high dofetilide concentration(see section 4.3).
Class III antiarrhythmics(e.g. amiodarone, sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide).
Triumeq must not be used together with dofetilide, a medicine used to control cardiac arrhythmia(unstable heartbeat).
Class III antiarrythmics(eg amiodarone, sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide).
Tivicay must not be given together with dofetilide, a medicine for disturbances of heart rhythm, as it may cause serious side effects.
Class III antiarrythmics(e. g. amiodarone,sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide).
These include Class IA(e.g. quinidine, procainamide, disopyramide) andClass III(e.g. dofetilide, amiodarone) antiarrhythmic agents, citalopram, tricyclic antidepressants, methadone, some antipsychotics(e.g. phenothiazines), fluoroquinolones(e.g. moxifloxacin), some antifungals(e.g. fluconazole, pentamidine), and some.
Some products that may interact with this drug are: dofetilide, lithium.
This includes medicines used for abnormal heart rhythm(antiarrhythmics such as quinidine, hydroquinidine, disopyramide, sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide and amiodarone), for depression(tricyclic antidepressants such as amitriptyline and imipramine,), for psychiatric disorders(antipsychotics), and for bacterial infections(‘macrolide' antibiotics such as erythromycin, azithromycin and clarithromycin).
In vivo interactions of abemaciclib with clinically relevant substrates of these transporters, such as dofetilide or creatinine, may occur(see section 4.8).
Medicines that belong to the group of anti-arrhythmics( e. g. quinidine, hydroquinidine, disopyramide, amiodarone, sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide), neuroleptics( e. g. phenothiazines, pimozide, sertindole, haloperidol, sultopride), tricyclic antidepressants, some antimicrobials( e. g. sparfloxacin, intravenous erythromycin, pentamidine, antimalarials particularly halofantrine), some antihistamines( e. g. terfenadine, astemizole, mizolastine), and other medicines( e. g. cisapride, intravenous vincamine, bepridil and diphemanil).
Concomitant administration of Class Ia(e.g. quinidine) orClass III(e.g. dofetilide, sotalol) antiarrhythmics other than amiodarone.
(itraconazole, ketoconazole, voriconazole, posaconazole), HIV infection(protease inhibitors), depression(nefazodone),or heart rhythm disorders(e. g. quinidine, dofetilide, or sotalol).
Class III antiarrhythmics(e.g. amiodarone, dofetilide, dronedarone, ibutilide, sotalol).
Do not take Namuscla with certain medicines for treating heart rhythm disorders(quinidine, procainamide, disopyramide, ajmaline, encainide, flecainide, propafenone, moricizine, amiodarone, sotalol, ibutilide, dofetilide, dronedarone, vernakalant).
Do not take[Invented name] together with the following medicines: Medicines that belong to the group of anti-arrhythmics(e.g. quinidine, hydroquinidine, disopyramide, amiodarone, sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide), neuroleptics(e.g. phenothiazines, pimozide, sertindole, haloperidol, sultopride), tricyclic antidepressants, some antimicrobials(e.g. sparfloxacin, intravenous erythromycin, pentamidine, antimalarials particularly halofantrine), some antihistamines(e.g. terfenadine, astemizole, mizolastine), and other medicines(e.g. cisapride, intravenous vincamine, bepridil and diphemanil).
If you are using certain medicines to treat bacterial infections(clarithromycin, telithromycin), fungal infections(itraconazole, ketoconazole, voriconazol, posaconazol), HIV infection(protease inhibitors), depression(nefazodone) orheart rhythm disorders(e.g. quinidine, dofetilide, or sotalol).
Treatment with Class I or III antiarrhythmics(such as flecainide, propafenone, quinidine, disopyramide, dofetilide, sotalol, amiodarone) must be stopped before starting dronedarone.
Tell your doctor…- if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, including medicines or herbal remedies obtained without prescription,- if you are taking medicines to treat an abnormal heart rhythm(e.g. amiodarone, disopyramide, dofetilide, ibutilide, procainamide, quinidine, hydroquinidine, sotalol).
Therefore, do not take the following medicines during treatment with Octegra: Medicines that belong to the group of anti-arrhythmics(e.g. quinidine, hydroquinidine, disopyramide, amiodarone, sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide), neuroleptics(e.g. phenothiazines, pimozide, sertindole, haloperidol, sultopride), tricyclic antidepressants, some antimicrobials(e.g. sparfloxacin, intravenous erythromycin, pentamidine, antimalarials particularly halofantrine), some antihistamines(e.g. terfenadine, astemizole, mizolastine), and other medicines(e.g. cisapride, intravenous vincamine, bepridil and diphemanil).
Co-administration of mexiletine and antiarrhythmics inducing torsades de pointes(class Ia: quinidine, procainamide, disopyramide, ajmaline; class Ic: encainide, flecainide, propafenone, moricizine; class III: amiodarone, sotalol, ibutilide, dofetilide, dronedarone, vernakalant) increases the risk of potentially lethal torsades de pointes.
Therefore, the concomitant use of crizotinib with medicinal products known to prolong QT interval or medicinal products able to induce Torsades de pointes(e.g., class IA[quinidine, disopyramide] or class III[e.g., amiodarone, sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide], methadone, cisapride, moxifloxacine, antipsychotics, etc.) should be carefully considered.
If you have an ECG(heart tracing) abnormality known as QT prolongation or you are taking any medicine known to cause this such as o medicines used for abnormal heart rhythm such as quinidine, sotalol, procainamide, ibutilide,flecainide, dofetilide, and amiodarone; o medicines used for allergic rhinitis;
