The issue of more efficient management of migration processes is of key importance for Bulgaria.

The“Asylum, Migration andIntegration Fund” contributes to the efficient management of migration flows and aims at strengthening and developing a common approach to asylum and immigration.
This means that migration issues should be an integrated part of the EU's external relations and that efficient management of migration must be uniform.
The Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund(AMIF)contributes to the efficient management of migration flows and development and implementation of the common asylum and immigration policy.

The economic crisis andthe increased threats from terrorism, organised crime and illegal migration have brought to light the issue of efficient and effective management of the external borders of the European Union.
To take account of changes in migration flows andto address needs in the management of asylum and reception systems and integration of legally staying third-country nationals, to develop legal migration and counter irregular migration through efficient, rights compliant and sustainable return policy, an additional amount should be allocated to the Member States at mid-term taking into account the absorption rates.
