(FR) Madam President, the reports by Mr Gauzès on rating agencies, by Mrs Weber on reporting anddocumentation requirements in the case of merger and divisions, and by Mr Skinner on the taking-up and pursuit of the business of insurance and reinsurance, contain provisions that are undoubtedly useful, but they cannot be described as measures to combat the financial crisis.
However, despite Mr Skinner's efforts- and, on this point, our criticism is exactly the same asMr Mitchell's- we regret that the governments have not understood.
