They shall speak on behalf of their institution,body, office or agency.
The requesting Member State, Union institution,body, office or agency shall notify all Member States of such requests.
The data protection officer shall be a staff member of the Union institution,body, office or agency.

When no opinion is delivered by the institution,body, office or agency concerned within the three month deadline or within the extended deadline, the Ombudsman may close the inquiry without such an opinion.'.
Those internal investigations shall be conducted in accordance with the conditions set out in this Regulation and in the decisions adopted by the respective institution,body, office or agency.
They shall neither seek nor take instructions from any institution or government or from any other body, office or agency, and shall refrain from any act which is incompatible with the nature of their duties.
Access to classified information or documents shall be subject to compliance with the rules on the processing of confidential information by the Union institution,body, office or agency concerned.
The Office shall inform the institution,body, office or agency concerned of the results of the preliminary evaluation, unless providing such information could jeopardise an investigation conducted by the Office or the EPPO.
(f) the offence is committed against the institutions or people of the Member State in question or against an institution,body, office or agency of the European Union and based in that Member State.
The institution, body, office or agency whose act has been declared void,or whose failure to act has been declared contrary to the Constitution, shall be required to take the necessary measures to comply with the judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
The decision to open an investigation shall be taken by the Director-General, acting on his own initiative or following a request from an institution,body, office or agency of the Union or from a Member State.”.
Article III-273(ex Article 233 TEC) The Institution,body, office or agency whose act has been declared void,or whose failure to act has been declared contrary to the Constitution, shall be required to take the necessary measures to comply with the judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
The decision shall then be notified by the Registrar of the Court to the parties, to the Member States and to the Commission, and to the institution,body, office or agency of the Union which adopted the act the validityor interpretation of which is in dispute.
With regard to internal investigations, specific account shall be taken of the institution,body, office or agency best placed to conduct them, based, in particular, on the nature of the facts, the actual or potential financial impact of the case, and the likelihood of any judicial follow-up.
The decision to open an internal investigation shall be taken by the Director-General, acting on his own initiative or following a request from the institution,body, office or agency within which the investigation is to be conducted or from a Member State.
The Director-General shall neither seek nor take instructions from any government or any institution,body, office or agency in the performance of his duties with regard to the opening and carrying-out of investigations or coordination activities, or to the drafting of reports following such investigations or coordination activities.
