Ormuzd and Ahriman are the names for Good and Evil in the Persian religion.
For darkness was already an element, and Ormuzd could not exclude its Master.
Light was Ormuzd, adored by the Persians, and Darkness Ahriman, origin of all evils.
Over the angels of the latter ruled a king(osiris or ormuzd), enlightened, intelligent, creative, and beneficent.
Osiris and Typhon, Ormuzd and Ahriman, Bacchus and the Titans and Giants, all represented these principles.
It was believed that Mithra had oncecome to earth in order to organize the faithful into the army of Ormuzd.
The Persians represented Ormuzd and Ahriman by two serpents, contending for the mundane egg.
It became a maxim of the Zend-Avesta, that Ahriman, the Principle of Evil, made the Great Serpent of Winter,who assaulted the creation of Ormuzd.
An ancient Persian believed in Ormuzd, the good God, and in his opponent Ahriman!
Ormuzd or Osiris, the beneficent Principle that gives the world light, was personified by the Sun, apparent source of light.

And finally he was taught the true nature of the Supreme Being,Creator of Ormuzd and Ahriman, the Absolute First Cause, styled ZERUANE AKHERENE.
But the true vital activity of Ormuzd is manifested in the full radiance of the sun, shining throughout all bright signs of the Zodiac, from Aries to Libra or Scorpio.
AHRIMAN, second-born of the Primitive Light,emanated from it, pure like ORMUZD; but, proud and ambitious, yielded to jealousy of the First-born.
Revnivtsev, represent one of the basic concepts of Zoroastrianism- the seven good spirits Amesha Spenta- incarnation andinner circle of the supreme god Ahura Mazda(Ormuzd).
Opposed to him was Typhon, his antagonist in the Egyptian mythology,as Ahriman was the foe of Ormuzd, the Good Principle, in theology of the Persians….
And Order and Harmony are everywhere re-established, in place of the dire confusion that reigned while gloomy Typhon domineered, andAhriman prevailed against Ormuzd.
After a reign of 3000 years, Ormuzd had created the Material World, in six periods, calling successively into existence the Light, Water, Earth, plants, animals, and Man.
This teaching is analogical to the Hindus, where Atman(the soul) is the mediator between Brahman(God) and the animal nature,just as Mithras is the mediator between the Ormuzd and Ahriman.
The Law of Ormuzd will rule everywhere; all men will be happy; all, enjoying an unalterable bliss, will unite with Sosiosch in singing the praises of the Supreme Being.
In this Persian faith, as taught many centuries before our era, and embodied in the Zend-Avesta, there was in man a pure Principle, proceeding from the Supreme Being,produced by the Will and Word of Ormuzd.
While Ormuzd controls all active functions in the Light-Realms, the Amschaspands undertake that specific work which finds expression in the transmission of the sun's light when in Aries, Taurus, Cancer, etc.
That the twins Phrixos and Helle were carried by the ram to Colchis means simply that anearlier race- the Persian-Iranian, with its twofold nature(it stood under the sign of the gods Ormuzd and Ahriman)- had regained the union of knowledge and love.
