Consultations may be held either at the request of a Member State or on the initiative of the Commission.
The Commission may adopt implementing acts establishing the measures referred to in paragraphs 1 and2 of this Article at the request of a Member State or on its own initiative.

At the request of a Member State or on its own initiative, the Commission shall examine the application of paragraphs 1 and 2 and, within one month of receipt of a request and after consulting the Committee referred to in Article 11, decide whether the Member State may continue to apply the measure.
(24) In cases where there is a specific anddisproportionate challenge at the external borders, the Agency should, at the request of a Member State or on its own initiative, organise and coordinate rapid border interventions and deploy both European Border and Coast Guard teams from a rapid reaction pool and technical equipment.
At the request of a Member State or on its own initiative the Commission shall, in a specific case, examine the application and enforcement of this Article, and within two months of receipt of such a request and after consulting the Committee referred to in Article 11a(2), decide whether the related measure may continue to be applied.
Where a product is imported into the Community in such greatly increased quantities and/or on such terms or conditions as to cause, or threaten to cause, serious injury to Community producers of like or directly competing products, the Commission, in order tosafeguard the interests of the Community, may, acting at the request of a Member State or on its own initiative.
The Commission may submit proposals to the Council, either at the request of a Member State or on its own initiative, for the negotiation of agreements with one or more third countries regarding the means of exercising supervision on a consolidated basis over the following.
At the request of a Member State or on its own initiative the Commission shall, in a specific case, examine the application and enforcement of provisions concerning charging, capacity allocation, and within two months of receipt of such a request decide in accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 35(2) whether the related measure may continue to be applied.
(15) In cases where there is a specific and disproportionate pressure at the external borders, the European Border andCoast Guard Agency should, at the request of a Member State or on its own initiative, organise and coordinate offer to a Member State to assist with rapid border interventions and deploy European Border and Coast Guard Teams from a rapid reserve pool as well as technical equipment.
At the request of a Member State or on its own initiative, the Commission shall examine the application of Article 17 in relation to a source of biofuel and, within six months of receipt of a request decide, in accordance with the examination procedure referred to in Article 25(3), whether the Member State concerned may take biofuel from that source into account for the purposes of Article 17(1).'.
Where the Community market is disturbed or is liable to be disturbed by outward processing arrangements,the Commission may suspend at the request of a Member State or on its own initiative fully or partially the use of outward processing arrangements for the products of the cereals, rice, beef and veal, pigmeat, sheepmeat and goatmeat and poultrymeat sectors.
At the request of a Member State or on its own initiative, the Commission shall examine the application of Article 17 in relation to a source of biofuel and, within six months of receipt of a request decide, in accordance with the examination procedure referred to in Article 25(3), whether the Member State concerned may take biofuel from that source into account for the purposes of Article 17(1).'.

The Commission may, at the request of a Member State or on its own initiative, by means of implementing acts, determine whether or not a specific product, or category or group of products, falls within the definitions of'medical device' or'accessory to a medical device'.
Where the Community market is disturbed or is liable to be disturbed by inward or outward processing arrangements,it may be decided, at the request of a Member State or on the Commission's initiative and in accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 104(1), to suspend fully or partially the use of inward or outward processing arrangements for the products covered by this Regulation.
In that respect, the Agency should, at the request of a Member State or on its own initiative, organise and coordinate joint operations for one or more Member States and deploy teams from the European Border and Coast Guard standing corps as well as provide the necessary technical equipment.
