This proceeding was initiated by the Court's Ruling IUz-882/2010 from January 17, 2013, on the basis of several Initiatives submitted to the Court,including ANEM's.

ANEM's CONTRIBUTION TO PUBLIC DEBATE ON DRAFT ADVERTISING LAWCreating favorable media regulatory framework is one of preconditions for achievement of the needed media reform that ANEM has been advocating for years.
Also in April, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Serbia passed a decision related to ANEM's initiative for assessing the constitutionality of the provisions of the Law on the Film Industry. In that decision, the Court found that the said provisions were not in accordance with the Constitution.

ANEM's project"Training of media professionals in writing project proposals for co-financing of projects for the realization of public interest in the field of public information" is co-financed from the budget of the Republic of Serbia- the Ministry of Culture and Information.
With its decision finding that the contested provisions were not in accordance with the Constitution, the Constitutional Court practically confirmed ANEM's allegations that the arbitrary meddling in the funds intended for the financing of regulatory bodies is tantamount to undermining their independence.
