Svetislav Basara was born on 21st December 1953 in Bajina Bašta.

Ceremonial gathering- 125 Years since the Birth of Risto StijovićOn the occasion of 125 years since the birth of sculptor Risto Stijović, the ceremonial gathering is to be held at the SASA Grand Hall, on Monday, 18 November,at 11 a.m. Academician Svetomir Arsić Basara will give an opening address, followed by a lecture of Professor Jasna Jovanov titled'Risto Stijović, from Parisian Alleys to Luxor Palace'.
