The principal values of official statistics stem, among other things, from documents adopted by the UN Economic andSocial Council- Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics, and by the European Commission- European Statistics Code of Practice.
European statistics should be consistent internally, over time and comparable between regions and countries;
Following the example of the European Statistical System, and in accordance with the mission and vision andquality policy, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia strives at complete harmonization of statistical production with the European Statistics Code of Practice(CoP).
The European Statistics Code of Practice was first adopted by the Statistical Programme Committee(SPC) in 2005.

European Statistics Code of Practice has been adopted by the European Statistical System Committee in 2005.
SORS strives to meet user needs, thus applies five dimensions of quality cited in the European Statistics Code of Practice and related to statistical products: relevance, accuracy and reliability, timeliness and punctuality, coherence and comparability, accessibility and clarity.
European Statistics are presented in a clear and understandable form, released in a suitable and convenient manner, available and accessible on an impartial basis with supporting metadata and guidance.
The quality management system of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia(SORS) relies on the Mission andVision of Official Statistics of the Republic of Serbia, the European Statistics Code of Practice(CoP) and the Total Quality Management(TQM) principles, which are common Quality Framework of the European Statistical System(ESS).
The European Statistics Code of Practice(CoP) is governed by 15 principles covering the institutional environment, the statistical processes and the statistical output.
QUALITY POLICY Quality Management System of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia(SORS) relies on the Mission and Vision of the official statistics ofthe Republic of Serbia, as well as on the European Statistics Code of Practice- CoP and principles of Total Quality Management- TQM, which represent the common quality framework of the European Statistical System.
The European statistics showed that the workers who are not the citizens of EU are more often engaged on temporary contracts and less-than-full time work.
To realize this mission and vision, the members of the European Statistical System strivefor joint cooperation and continuous interaction with users according to the Principles of the European Statistics Code of Practice and general quality management principles including commitment of leadership, partnership, staff satisfaction, and continuous improvement, in addition to integration and harmonization.

The Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina shall, by strengthening of its professional and infrastructure capacities and by adopting and applying the best statistical practice,achieve full alignment to the international statistical standards and the principles of the European Statistics Code of Practice, while respecting fundamental values such as expertise and professionalism, independence, impartiality and openness.

It should be noted that European statistics also faces the same limitation and that surveys designed specifically for that purpose are used instead. The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia will continually report on the relative poverty indicators based on SILC data.
System of quality management of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia is based on European Statistics Code of Practice and is completely adjusted to statistical needs since quality of statistical processes has been systematically improved, as well as quality of final results, i.e. data and users' providing services.
