First commandment of the Qur'an: Read!

ஓதுவீராக: உம் இறைவன் மாபெரும் கொடையாளி.
Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous.

படைத்த வல்லவன் அல்லாஹ்வின் பெயரால் ஓதுவீராக!
In the name of the God who created.

ஓதுவீராக: உம் இறைவன் மாபெரும் கொடையாளி.
Read and your Lord is Most Honorable.

பிறகு, என்னை விடுவித்துவிட்டு“ ஓதுவீராக!'.
Then he released me and said:'Read!'.

ஓதுவீராக: உம் இறைவன் மாபெரும் கொடையாளி.
Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous.

படைத்த உமது இரட்சகனின் பெயரால் ஓதுவீராக!
Read in the name of thy Sustainer, Who created!

ஓதுவீராக: உம் இறைவன் மாபெரும் கொடையாளி.
Read, for your Lord is most beneficent.

படைத்த வல்லவன் அல்லாஹ்வின் பெயரால் ஓதுவீராக!
In the name of Allah who created(everything)!

ஓதுவீராக: உம் இறைவன் மாபெரும் கொடையாளி.
Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous.

பிறகு, என்னை விட்டுவிட்டு மீண்டும்‘ ஓதுவீராக' என்றார்.
Then he returned me and said:‘Read.'.

ஓதுவீராக: உம் இறைவன் மாபெரும் கொடையாளி.
Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One.

பிறகு, என்னை விட்டுவிட்டு மீண்டும்‘ ஓதுவீராக' என்றார்.
Then he turned to me and said“Read to me?”.

ஓதுவீராக: உம் இறைவன் மாபெரும் கொடையாளி.
Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One.

( யாவற்றையும்) படைத்த உம்முடைய இறைவனின் திருநாமத்தைக் கொண்டு ஓதுவீராக.
Read with the name of your Lord Who created.

ஓதுவீராக: உம் இறைவன் மாபெரும் கொடையாளி.
Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent.

குர்ஆனாகிய இவ்வேதத்த் இலிருந்து உமக்கு அறிவிக்கப் பட்டதை நீர் ஓதுவீராக!
Make sure you carry a book(preferably one you have read)!

ஓதுவீராக: உம் இறைவன் மாபெரும் கொடையாளி.
Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous.

பின்னர் என்னை விடுவித்துவிட்டு,“ படைத்த உம்முடைய இறைவனின்( திருப்) பெயரால் ஓதுவீராக!
Released me and said,'Read in the name of your Lord,!

ஓதுவீராக: உம் இறைவன் மாபெரும் கொடையாளி. அவனே எழுது கோலைக் கொண்டு கற்றுக் கொடுத்தான்.
Recite and your Lord is most Generous, Who taught(to write) with the pen.

பின்னர் என்னை விடுவித்துவிட்டு,“ படைத்த உம்முடைய இறைவனின்( திருப்) பெயரால் ஓதுவீராக!
The voice said:"Read in the Name of your Lord who created.

அலக்" என்ற நிலைய் இலிருந்து மனிதனை படைத்தான். ஓதுவீராக: உம் இறைவன் மாபெரும் கொடையாளி.
He created mankind from a lump of blood, read and your Lord the Most Gracious.

பின்னர் என்னை விடுவித்துவிட்டு,“ படைத்த உம்முடைய இறைவனின்( திருப்) பெயரால் ஓதுவீராக!
Then he said:‘Read in the name of your Lord Who created.'!

பின்னர் என்னை விடுவித்துவிட்டு,“ படைத்த உம்முடைய இறைவனின்( திருப்) பெயரால் ஓதுவீராக!
He[angel] said‘Read in the name of your Lord who created.'!

பின்னர் என்னை விடுவித்துவிட்டு,“ படைத்த உம்முடைய இறைவனின்( திருப்) பெயரால் ஓதுவீராக!
Later on he released him saying,“Read in the name of your Lord, who has created…!
