Inactivity Timer.
Display name: Inactivity timer.
When the Inactivity Timer expires, users must reauthenticate to the secure container on the device.
When using a reliable session, there are two different inactivity timers that must be satisfied to keep the connection alive.
This inactivity timer fires if no application messages are received within the timeout period.
If either the set time-to-live expires or the inactivity timer expires, CSM 420 may request rotation of their encryption key.
The Inactivity Timer limits the length of time that can pass without user activity in any of the apps that use the secure container.
Users still have to enter aPIN when signing on to Secure Hub for the first time, restarting the device, and after the inactivity timer expires.
The default inactivity timer value is 60 minutes.
Offline inactivity(time-out): With the App Passcode MDX policy enabled, which it is by default, the Endpoint Management client property called Inactivity Timer comes into play.
On iOS, the Inactivity Timer also governs access to Secure Hub for MDX and non-MDX apps.
When users sign off from Secure Hub, they have to reauthenticate the next time they access Secure Hub or any MDX app, when the app requires a passcode as determined by the App Passcode MDX policy and the Inactivity Timer status.
To configure the inactivity timer for all apps, set the INACTIVITY_TIMER value in minutes in Client Properties on the Settings tab.
User example: When you deploy a passcode policy to a managed device, Secure Hub prompts the user to configure a passcode or PIN, which they must unlock before they can gain access to their device when they turn on the device or when the inactivity timer expires.
The combination of the App Passcode set to ON and the Inactivity Timer client property is responsible for probably the most common of the authentication prompt scenarios.
The inactivity timer may be a specified period of time and may be reset each time the user performs an operation requiring use of the encryption key(e.g., a management function, as described in further detail below).
If, for example, users set down their devices and walk away, if the Inactivity Timer has expired, someone else can't pick up the device and access sensitive data within the container.
The inactivity timer defines the time in minutes that users can leave their device inactive and then can access an app without being prompted for a Citrix PIN or passcode.
In some implementations, an expiration of an inactivity timer causes a state transition(e.g., continuous reception state 520 to short DRX state 530 or short DRX state 530 to long DRX state 540).
You can set an inactivity timer in Client Properties so that, with continued use, Secure Hub doesn't prompt the user to authenticate to the managed app again until the timer expires.
Default is On. To configure the inactivity timer for all apps, set the INACTIVITY_TIMER value in minutes in the XenMobile console in Client Properties on the Settings tab.
Users of networked systems that cannot tolerate the suspend state can selectively set the inactivity suspend timer to never expire.
If the inactivity standby timer expired thenthe Supervisor Routine will write XXXXX1XX. sub.2 to the I/O port, which blanks the video signal.
On the other hand, if the inactivity suspend timer has not expired, then the Supervisor Routine SETs the"No Event" APM Return Code at 242 and returnsto the APM calling code at 243.
