In 1957, a few years after the establishment of the ECSC, the process of integration was taken a step further with the signing of the Treaties of Rome establishing the European Economic Community(EEC), to integrate the member countries' economies as a whole, and the European Atomic Energy Community(Euratom),to encourage cooperation in the peaceful use and development of nuclear energy.
We cannot therefore support any fission research which would lead to the development of more nuclear energy.
