A concordance provides key words used in the Bible and the references where these words are used.
In the back of the concordance there are two dictionaries.
The Greek word used by James is“apejomai” and as per Strong's Concordance means“To keep away” or“To be distant”.
For example, if you have a concordance you can look up the name of the person and find a list of all references to him/her in the Bible.
To find verses on prayer use a concordance or look at on line sites like Bible Hub or Bible Gateway.
Cruden's Concordance defines life as“animated existence as distinguished from dead matter.” We all know when something is alive by the evidence exhibited.
If you do not have a concordance, gather the references directly from the Bible.
The internet has Bible Concordances, Greek and Hebrew interlinear Bibles(the Bible in the original languages with a word for word translation underneath), Bible Dictionaries(such as Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Greek Words) and Greek and Hebrew word studies.
When you are confronted with such a sin it is a good idea to use a concordance and look up and study as many verses as you can on what God has to teach on the subject so you can obey what God says. Some examples follow.
