On 3 June 2004, Ms. Zerrougui informed the secretariat that she would not be able to attend the fifty-sixth session of the Sub-Commission in her capacity as Special Rapporteur of the Sub-Commission andthat she would not be able to submit her progress report on the discrimination in the criminal justice system as foreseen.
