With the introduction of the poverty reduction strategy papers, the learning group also acts as a forum for dialogue on the implementation of the strategy papers and the involvement of the United Nations system in the process.
The Ministers therefore called on the African Union Commission and the Economic Commission for Africa to promote knowledge-sharing and peer learning on the Millennium Development Goals among their countries,including through the African Learning Group on the Poverty Reduction Strategies and the Millennium Development Goals.
Rehab Group participated in a learning group as part of the European Platform for Rehabilitation(EPR) which aimed to increase knowledge about the application of ICF to the provision of services to people with intellectual disabilities.
To help accelerate progress towards the MDGs,ECA convened the fifth meeting of the African Learning Group on Poverty Reduction Strategies and the MDGs(PRSs/MDGs- LG) in Lusaka, Zambia in October 2010.

In this context, it urged the Learning Group to establish links with key policy-shaping fora and institutions particularly the AU and its NEPAD program, the APRM, the Africa Partnership Forum,(APF) the Strategic Partnership for Africa(SPA), the spring meetings of the International Finance Institutions and The Big Table.
The current Barbados green economy model is shared at the regional level, at such events as the firstmeeting of the Caribbean Green Economy Action Learning Group, held in Saint Lucia in May 2013, and the first Caribbean Green Economy Conference, also held in Saint Lucia.
In this context, the Learning Group must establish links with key policy-shaping fora and institutions, particularly the AU and its NEPAD program, the APRM, the Africa Partnership Forum(APF), the Strategic Partnership for Africa(SPA), the spring meetings of the International Finance Institutions and The Big Table.
UNICEF has maintained regular contact with the Bank through semi-annual consultations on critical policy and operational issues,and also participated in the UNDG/World Bank Learning Group that has focused on experiences in the implementation of PRSPs and the linkage with CCAs/UNDAFs.

Field projects: enhancing knowledge sharing on poverty reduction strategies(PRS) and Millennium Development Goals(MDGs),through the ECA PRS/MDG Learning Group; knowledge network to create, manage and share information on HIV/AIDS, using priorities established and activities conducted by ECA, AU and other partners(Treatment Accelerated Programme); establishment of an African Regional Employment Network to provide a platform for exchange of policy experiences on employment issues; strengthening integration of population and social policy issues in development planning.
