In the present code, the following terms shall mean.
An illustrative list of interests is provided in the annex to the present code of conduct.

(a) Judges must be of high moral character and always, and not only in the discharge of their duties,act honourably and in accordance with the values and principles set out in the present Code;
That restrictive approach could be seen in article 1 of the draft Code, which provided that" the present Code applies to the crimes against the peace and security of mankind set out in Part II".
He may issue instructions to law enforcement officers and members of the police force working in penal institutions on the exercise of the powers andfunctions provided for under the present Code.
According to article 5 of the Penal Code:" The infliction of the penalties prescribed in the present Code shall not affect the obligation of the opposing parties to make restitution and pay compensation.".
Mandate-holders shall be provided by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, along with the documentation pertaining to their mission,with a copy of the present Code of which they must acknowledge receipt.
Without prejudice to article 54 bis and article 100 of the present Code, no court may hand down a suspended sentence for any of the offences listed in this article or take mitigating factors into consideration.
(7) The police authorities may seize the objects stated in Paragraph 1 of this Article when proceeding pursuant to the provisions of Article 230 and246 of the present Code or when executing the judicial warrant.
This is affirmed in article 5 of the Criminal and Penal Code, which states:" The penalties prescribed in the present Code shall be without prejudice to the duty of parties to make restitution and reparation.".
(d) Judges, like other citizens, are entitled to freedom of expression, belief, association and assembly, but must exercise these freedoms with due regard to the values andprinciples set out in the present Code;
(10) The Committee notes that under the new Personal and Family Code, only monogamous marriage is recognized, and that" custom ceases to have the force oflaw in all matters covered by the present Code".
(1) The characterization of aggression as a crime against the peace andsecurity of mankind contained in article 16 of the present Code is drawn from the relevant provision of the Nürnberg Charter as interpreted and applied by the Nürnberg Tribunal.
Article 137 of the Labour Code indeed provides that:" For work of equal value, pay shall be equal for all employees, regardless of their origin, sex, age, status and faith,under the conditions provided for in the present Code.".
Notwithstanding the provisions of article 54 bis and article 100 of the present Code, the courts may not suspend a sentence handed down for the offences listed in the present article, nor may they take mitigating factors into consideration.".
(2) Unless otherwise prescribed by the provisions of this Chapter, in the proceedings of temporary confiscation of objects andproperty gain referred to in Article 1 of the present Code, the provisions of the Law on Executive Proceedings as well as relevant provisions of the present Code shall be applied accordingly.
Having due regard to article 251 of the present Code, a term of up to 10 years ' imprisonment shall be imposed on anyone who abducts a newborn child and a term of up to 7 years ' imprisonment shall be imposed on anyone who conceals or swaps a child for another or who makes a fraudulent claim regarding the parentage of a child.
