Settings when using an effect unit.
Integrated effect unit with 256 DSP-effects.
Pressing FX in deck C: assign effect unit 3.
One effect unit each can be inserted in the following ways.
Jack SEND(phono jacks) for connecting the input of an effect unit 35.
Here, another unit with line level input(e. g. effect unit, amplifier of a monitoring system) may be connected.
EFF SEND(19) as an alternative to an effect unit.
Alternatively to a Return input, the effect unit can also be connected via the line input of a free input channel.
Stereo output(phono jacks) for connection to the input of an effect unit 43.
To return the signal coming from the effect unit, the inputs STEREO AUX RETURN 1(16) and STEREO AUX RETURN 2(20) are available.
Following the corresponding channel fader for controlling an effect unit via the effect send control.
For an effect unit, the send jack supplies the signal to the effect unit, the output of the effect unit is connected to the return jack 32.
With control RETURN(26) mix the signal processed by the effect unit back to the output signal.
With the control AUX SEND(19), adjust the level for the outputsignal of the effect way that is sent to the effect unit.
Connect the following unit(e. g. amplifier, mixer, effect unit, etc.) to the output via one of the 6.3 mm jacks(5+7) or the XLR jack 6.
Mono output AUX SEND(6.3 mm jack, unbal.) for the effect AUX way;to connect the input of an effect unit 13.
Feed-through input AMP IN in connection with the feed-through output PRE OUT(30) to insert an effect unit(e. g. equalizer). Feed-through input and output via the 1/4” jack.
Mono output(6.3 mm jack, unbal.) of the Aux way“FX SEND”(switched post-fader); it can be used for connecting an effect unit 17.
The signals returning from the effect unit are fed to the master signal via the jack RETURN(11)-without the possibility to adjust the level via the power mixer.
Via the return input“FX RETURN”(23) the signal processed by the effect unit can be returned to the mixer.
When connecting an effect unit with mono output to the input STEREO AUX RETURN 1, only use the jack LEFT, then the mono signal is internally split to the left channel and the right channel.
With the effect return control RETURN(31)adjust the level by which the signals coming from the effect unit are mixed to the stereo master.
If the effect unit is connected to the input STEREO AUX RETURN 2(20), add the effect signal with the control STEREO AUX RETURN 2(37) to the master channels MAIN MIX or ALT 3- 4, depending on the position of the routing button 38.
Connect the power amplifier for the speakers ora subsequent unit with line input(main mixer, effect unit, etc.) to the matching output jacks.
If the effect unit is connected to the input STEREO AUX RETURN 2(20), define with the routing button(38) if the effect signal is assigned either to the sum MAIN MIX(button disengaged) or to the sum ALT 3- 4 button engaged.
Output PRE OUT, the volume is independent of the control MASTER(8), in connection with the feed-through input AMP IN(28)to insert an effect unit e. g. equalizer.
If the effect unit is connected to the line input of an input channel, add the effect signal with the correspond ing channel fader(15) to the master channels MAIN MIX or ALT 3- 4, de pending on the position of button MUTE ALT 3- 4 11.
Via the send way, signal parts can be decoupled from the input channels, routed via an effect unit and then, after being processed, added to the sum signal.
As additional input for a line signal source the jacks RETURN(43)can be used as long as they are not required for connecting an effect unit chapter 4.2.
Via the effect AUX way, signal parts can be decoupled from the inputchannels 1 to 5/6[signal will be picked up after the LEVEL controls(10)], routed via an effect unit and mixed to the master signal after processing.
