Scientix: The new web-based community for Science Education.
All modules will be published on SCIENTIX as soon as they are available and then will be linked here.
Scientix Digest is a fortnightly news bulletin sent to you by e-mail, providing an overview of the latest updates on the Scientix portal.
They also assist in developing and testing various tools and services of Scientix and ensure the pedagogical quality of the Scientix repository.
W3-Â Scientix, the community for science education in Europe, which aims to facilitate sharing of know-how and best practices.
They engage with national communities of STEM professionals, inform about Scientix activities and organise national workshops, webinars and other activities.
Scientix National Contact Points(NCPs) provide an important link between Scientix at a European level and activities taking place in your country.
It brings the latest news from science education projects and from the Scientix community, and follows the development of European and national policies and initiatives.
Scientix is carried out by European Schoolnet(EUN) on behalf of the European Commission DG Research- FP7 Science in Society Programme.
This press release was sent on 16 November 2015,at the start of the Scientix week to introduce the theme of the upcoming Eminent event in Barcelona 19 and 20 November 2015"STEM in Education and Life.
So Scientix will contribute both to inspiring young people with science and to maximising value for every euro Europe spends on science education.
Originally published in October 2014,this booklet will give you an overview of what Scientix is and does, and how you can get involved in our community as a teacher, researcher or policy maker.
Scientix will allow every science teacher and student to benefit from excellent teaching materials developed by European and national research projects.
NCPs also monitor and analyse national initiatives regarding science education policy and practice,to be published on the Scientix website, providing an overview of the national initiatives in science education taking place across Europe.
They present Scientix in schools and national teachers associations, on conferences and workshops, and can advise teachers how to get involved in European collaboration in STEM.
To 20 November 2015 will be a Scientix Week, celebrating the project's success and addressing the need for its continuation!
Scientix promotes and supports a European-wide collaboration among STEM(science, technology, engineering and maths) teachers, education researchers, policymakers and other STEM education professionals.
The European Commission has launched Scientix, a new web-portal targeted towards teachers, researchers, policy makers, local actors, parents and anyone interested in science education.
Scientix will give access to teaching materials, research results and policy documents from European science education projects financed by the European Union and by various national initiatives.
