Al-Ahqaf-24: When they saw it(the torment) as a dense cloud coming towards their valley, they said:“This is a cloud which will give us rain”!
അങ്ങനെ അതിനെ( ശിക്ഷയെ) തങ്ങളുടെ താഴ്‌വരകൾക്ക്‌ അഭിമുഖമായിക്കൊണ്ട്‌ വെളിപ്പെട്ട ഒരു മേഘമായി അവർ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ പറഞ്ഞു: ഇതാ നമുക്ക്‌ മഴ നൽകുന്ന ഒരു മേഘം!

Al-Ahqaf-24: When they saw it(the torment) as a dense cloud coming towards their valley, they said:“This is a cloud which will give us rain”!
അങ്ങനെ അതിനെ( ശിക്ഷയെ) തങ്ങളുടെ താഴ്‌വരകള്‍ക്ക്‌ അഭിമുഖമായിക്കൊണ്ട്‌ വെളിപ്പെട്ട ഒരു മേഘമായി അവര്‍ കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു: ഇതാ നമുക്ക്‌ മഴ നല്‍കുന്ന ഒരു മേഘം!

എന്നാല്‍ ഇവിടെ നിന്നുകൊണ്ട്‌,' ഇതു മല, അത്‌ മേഘം' എന്നെല്ലാം ചിന്തിക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയാല്‍ എല്ലാം വേറെവേറെയാണെന്ന്‍ തോന്നും.

അങ്ങനെ അതിനെ( ശിക്ഷയെ) തങ്ങളുടെ താഴ്‌വരകള്‍ക്ക്‌ അഭിമുഖമായിക്കൊണ്ട്‌ വെളിപ്പെട്ട ഒരു മേഘമായി അവര്‍ കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു: ഇതാ നമുക്ക്‌ മഴ നല്‍കുന്ന ഒരു മേഘം!

Or as darkness on a vast, abysmal sea. There covereth him a wave, above which is a wave, above which is a cloud. Layer upon layer of darkness. When he holdeth out his hand he scarce can see it. And he for whom Allah hath not appointed light, for him there is no light.
അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ആഴക്കടലിലെ ഇരുട്ടുകള്‍ പോലെയാകുന്നു.( അവരുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളുടെ ഉപമ). തിരമാല അതിനെ( കടലിനെ) പൊതിയുന്നു. അതിനു മീതെ വീണ്ടും തിരമാല. അതിനു മീതെ കാര്‍മേഘം. അങ്ങനെ ഒന്നിനു മീതെ മറ്റൊന്നായി അനേകം ഇരുട്ടുകള്‍. അവന്‍റെ കൈ പുറത്തേക്ക് നീട്ടിയാല്‍ അതുപോലും അവന്‍ കാണുമാറാകില്ല. അല്ലാഹു ആര്‍ക്ക് പ്രകാശം നല്‍കിയിട്ടില്ലയോ അവന്ന് യാതൊരു പ്രകാശവുമില്ല.

Or like utter darkness in the deep sea: there covers it a wave above which is another wave, above which is a cloud,(layers of) utter darkness one above another; when he holds out his hand, he is almost unable to see it; and to whomsoever Allah does not give light, he has no light.

Mark 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
