It would have seemed that objectively judging,there were at least a few more interesting lots than the extremely old bottle of Brora 1972, yet it was the Bora that mesmerised the attention of the whisky-related internet.
The fact that at its final stages of operation Brora acted as a kind of spare distillery was reflected in the various peating levels of the spirit made there- Brora produced exactly that kind of whisky which was currently needed for the company's blending purposes.
