The ICNP is outlined in Reference Terminology Model for Nursing, established in 2003, denominated ISO 18104.
Some good explanations of the behavior of Inkscape, also using some reference terminology can be found in the books and manuals.
Using the ISO reference terminology model for nursing diagnoses, the diagnosis would be built in accordance with Figure 1.
In 2003, the International Organization for Standardization ISO elaborated the"Reference Terminology Model for Nursing", which they named ISO 18104.
The use of ICNP Version 2.0 as reference terminology allowed cross mapping of the identified terms and later validation of these by the Delphi technique.
It is also highlighted that this classification adopts the standard ISO 18.104, published in 2003,which addresses the reference terminology model for nursing diagnoses and actions.
The aim of this international standard was to establish a reference terminology model for nursing aligned with the goals and objectives of other health-specific terminology models to provide a more unified terminology reference model.
This standard was presented to the Technical Committee ISO/TC 215 health informatics and was approved as ISO 18104:2003 Health Informatics:Integration of a Reference Terminology Model for Nursing.
When comparing the results obtained in this study with those of other studies using the same method and the ICNP as a reference terminology, there is the fact of having used a large number of records, which allowed for the number of terms extracted to be quite high.
There have been five versions of the ICNPavailable since 1996; however, after version 1.0 was launched in 2005, the classification's review and standardization were influenced by the model proposed by the International Organization for Standardization ISOaccording to ISO 18.104: 2003 Integration of a Reference Terminology Model for Nursing.
Its activities are in line with the three components of the life cycle of the ICNP® terminology, especially the production of terminology subsets, contributing to its use andcontinued development in clinical practice, and consolidation as a reference terminology. It also establishes partnerships with other educational institutions in several Brazilian states, contributing to the scientific production on the subject.
In Brazil, the ICNP® Research and Development Center at the Nursing Postgraduate Program, Federal University of Paraíba, approved by the ICN in 2007, develops the use of ICNP® in the professional practice regarding nursing education, research and care, contributing to the construction, continuous development and consolidation of a reference terminology.
This Centre has the mission to support continuous development of ICNP; to promote its use in clinical practice, nursing learning and research; and to collaborate with the ICN andother similar Centers to transform the ICNP into a reference terminology to be used worldwide as a technology tool that strengthens and broadens profession purposes in care, education, or research.
Finally, the study draws attention to the importance of investigations on the actions of nurses guided by scientific methods and with consistent theoretical basis. Therefore, it is suggested that new terminology subsets are developed using a well-defined methodological process, with their application and validation on the selected clientele in order toensure greater reliability and consolidate a reference terminology to be used worldwide in the professional nursing practice.
The argumentative apex of the chapter is when the authors didactically exemplify the way for constructing affirmative diagnostics, results and ICNP nursing interventions, grounded in the recommendations of ISO 18104:2003- Reference Terminology Model for Nursing, of the International Organization for Standardization ISO.
Therefore, nurses from around the world should use the ICNPr and nursing theoretical frameworks in the sphere of care, teaching and research as the possibility of scientific andtechnological progress to consolidate a reference terminology to be used worldwide in professional nursing practice.
The new concepts must be submitted to the modeling process. For such purpose, it is recommended to check whether they are consistent with the modeling guidelines for the ICNP® nursing diagnoses, outcomes and interventions, having as a parameter ISO 18104:Integration of a reference terminology model for Nursing, which has been adopted by the ICN as basis for the construction of the content of terminology subsets.
In this context, an American study conducted for the evaluation of health care efficiency and its impact on costs and quality of the service showed that a common structure is emerging, representing the essential information concerning care- reference terminologies, information models and computerized standards.
For future research, it is suggested to update and evaluate CNP using the ICNP version 3.0, along with the articulation and mapping of data andinformation from the ICNP 3.0 with other terminology/reference classification systems NANDA, NIC, NOC and CID 10.
It included the development of terminology reference models for diagnosis and nursing actions, relevant terminologies, and definitions for implementation.
In the test Figure 3 tab, the student can answer direct questions with multiple alternatives,on topics such as terminology, reference values, semiotics, equipment used and professional attitude, in order to help identify the greatest difficulties and, thus, be able to study focusing on their needs.
Namely, the Quality Agency for the National Health System is in charge of developing all initiatives addressed to promote the use of SNOMED CT as reference clinical terminology for electronic health records in all the autonomous communities that form Spain.
