Cell groups meet in different homes.
Figure 9c-10(a-c) Hyperchromatic crowded cell groups- HSIL favour CIN3.
Cell groups- Home bible study groups. .
There's a whole layer of cell groups between the outside world and the inner circle.
The intermediate squamous cells can present singly or in clumped cell groups.
House churches or cell groups must be accountable to the vision of leadership in the wider body of Christ.
Nuclear features of HSIL can be seen in separated cells at the margins of the cell groups.
Cell groups as being an efficient way of making disciples, without excluding, of course, one to one or organized discipleship;
Nuclei tend to be round, pleomorphic and enlarged with variation of cell size within cell groups.
In some instances hyperchromatic crowded cell groups of HSIL may mimic glandular neoplasia(Figure 9c-11), with which it may coexist.
Isolated cells are not a feature of AIS andits recognition largely depends on the architecture of the cell groups.
Hyperchromatic crowded cell groups may be overlooked on low-power examination, which is a known pitfall in diagnosis.
Hyperchromatic crowded groups of cells may have recognisable HSIL cells at their periphery or between the cell groups.
As hyperchromatic crowded cell groups more often represent CIN3 than CIN2 the nuclear atypia and NC ratio should be diagnostic in HSIL.
A prominent feature is that there will be single cells dissociating fromthe crowded groups and seen as isolated cells between the cell groups.
Sudden changes of cell groups with hyperchromatic or irregular chromatin should be sought and reported if present.
Well-differentiated non-keratinising carcinomas may show cohesive cell groups with well-defined cell borders similar to those seen in HSIL.
Hyperchromatic crowded cell groups are known to be at risk for a false negative diagnosis in conventional smears and liquid-based preparations(Demay 2000; Gupta et al. 2013).
Confirmed diagnoses of HSIL(favour CIN3) orAIS/adeno-carcinoma may be accepted in the absence of a visible lesions at colposcopy especially if confirmed in multiple cells or cell groups.
Microbiopsies or hyperchromatic crowded cell groups of HSIL or even cancer can be overlooked at primary screening or misinterpreted on review.
Small cell severe dyskaryosis may show signs of neuroendocrine differentiation in which case the cells will be larger, oval rather than round andmay show nuclear moulding in cohesive cell groups.
Hyperchromatic crowded cell groups may be overlooked and thought to be endocervical or endometrial cells and liquid-based cytology(Demay 2000; Gupta et al. 2013; Robertson& Woodend 1993).
The commonest reasons for this problem are the distinction of i immature squamous metaplasia from HSIL/moderate dysplasia/dyskaryosis, and ii hyperchromatic crowded cell groups of metaplastic or glandular cells from HSIL/severe dyskaryosis or AIS.
One or two such cell groups, without nuclear enlargement or anisocytosis, is unlikely to be important but seeing a large number(10+) could indicate an abnormality and a search for other abnormalities elsewhere on the slide.
Range and Cells Group.
(d) Hyperchromatic crowded cell group in well-differentiated non-keratinising squamous cell carcinoma showing features of severe dyskaryosis at the margins of the group. .
This cell group could be misinterpreted as a cluster of endocervical cells- but close review shows severely dyskaryotic cells at the edge of the group of cells; .
This cell group has some features suggesting glandular neoplasia but the variably hyperchromatic nuclear chromatin is regular and the nuclear membranes are even(unlike HSIL or CGIN).
(c) The cytoplasm appears to be lost in this cell group, which shown nuclear features of HSIL.
One cell group was incubated at 37C or 99F- the temperature found in the lungs, and the other group incubated at 33C or 91F to resemble that of temperature found in the nose.
