The work on the tenth supplement, covering the period 1985-1988, has been completed and the supplement is scheduled for publication by mid-1999.

Pursuant to section III, paragraph 15, of General Assembly resolution 55/222 of 23 December 2000, the Repertoire,beginning with the tenth Supplement(1985-1988), is to be made available in all official languages.
During the period under review, the tenth Supplement to the Repertoire of the Practice of the Security Council, covering the period 1985-1988, was published in English.
In compliance with General Assembly resolution 55/222,in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to publish the future supplements to the Repertoire in all six official languages, the tenth Supplement was published accordingly.
In a further effort to broaden accessibility, the tenth Supplement to the Repertoire, the first to be published in all six official languages, had been made available on the website during 2006.
Pursuant to section III, paragraph 15, of General Assembly resolution 55/222 of 23 December 2000, the Repertoire of the Practice of the Security Council is to be published in all official languages beginning with the tenth Supplement, covering the period 1985-1988.
The technical editing andthe typesetting of the English version of the tenth Supplement, covering the period 1985-1988, have been completed and the volume is currently being indexed and translated into French.
Note that the tenth Supplement to the Repertoire of the Practice of the Security Council is expected to be published in Chinese and Russian in October 2002 and that its Arabic, French and Spanish versions should be completed in April 2003;

The elimination of the backlog of the Repertoire, which had stretched to 12 years by 2000,when the tenth Supplement was issued, is a one-time project which should be entrusted to an additional temporary team, financed through temporary assistance funds and/or extrabudgetary resources.
In compliance with General Assembly resolution 55/222,in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to publish the future supplements to the Repertoire in all six official languages, the tenth Supplement was published accordingly and the eleventh and twelfth Supplements have been submitted for translation.
With respect to programme 2, Political and Security Council affairs, the three postponements related to two recurrent publications(Repertoire of Practice of the Security Council, tenth supplement covering the period 1985-1988, and Supplement No. 6 of the Repertory of Practice of the United Nations Organs) under subprogramme 1; and to the substantive servicing of the Conference on the Indian Ocean on which no intergovernmental decision was taken for holding it during the biennium subprogramme 2.
The Meeting of Experts agreed to transmit amendments to Regulation No. 12 to the Working Party andto the Administrative Committee(AC.1) for consideration at its tenth session as a proposal for draft Supplement 3 to the 03 series of amendments to Regulation No. 12.
The proposal contained in the above-listed documents was considered and adopted by GRSP and it was agreed to transmit it to the Working Party andto the Administrative Committee(AC.1) for consideration at its tenth session as a proposal for draft Supplement 1 to Regulation No. 33.
The Meeting of Experts agreed to transmit the adopted text(see para. 37 above) to the Working Party andto the Administrative Committee(AC.1) for consideration at its tenth session as a proposal for draft Supplement 2 to the 03 series of amendments to Regulation No. 44.
The adopted text is reproduced in annex 4 to this report and it was agreed to transmit it to the Working Party andto the Administrative Committee(AC.1) for consideration at its tenth session as a proposal for draft Supplement 9 to the 04 series of amendments to Regulation No. 16.
WP.29/GRE agreed to transmit the amended proposal to the Working Party andto the Administrative Committee AC.1 for consideration at its tenth session(November 1998) as a Proposal for draft Supplement 17 to the 03 series of amendments to Regulation No. 37 see also paras. 24 and 25 below.
The Secretariat has already posted the tenth and eleventh Supplements on the Repertoire websites in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish.
A provision of $130,600 would be required for consultants to provide expertise in the four substantive topics to be addressed by the Tenth Congress, thus supplementing the expertise available within the Secretariat.

The Committee recommends that the Assembly of the International Seabed Authority, at its tenth session, decide on a definitive source of financing for supplementing the voluntary funds for the participation of members of the Legal and Technical Commission and the Committee from developing countries, on the basis of the recommendation of the Committee and the Council at the next session of the Authority.
