Bethink men that they shall be left alone because they say: we believe; and that they shall not be tempted?
کیا لوگ اس گھمنڈ میں ہیں کہ اتنی بات پر چھوڑ دیے جائیں گے کہ کہیں ہم ایمان لائے، اور ان کی آزمائش نہ ہوگی?

Say thou: bethink ye, were your water to be sunk away, who then could bring you water welling-up?
کہہ دیجئے کہ تمہارا کیا خیال ہے اگر تمہارا سارا پانی زمین کے اندر جذب ہوجائے تو تمہارے لئے چشمہ کا پانی بہا کر کون لائے گا?

Bethink men that they shall be left alone because they say: we believe; and that they shall not be tempted?

تم فرماؤ بھلا بتاؤ اگر یہ قرآن اللہکے پاس سے ہے پھر تم اس کے منکر ہوئے تو اس سے بڑھ کر گمراہ کون جو دور کی ضد میں ہے?

Say thou: bethink ye, if His torment come on you by night or by day which Portion thereof would the culprlts hasten on?
تم فرماؤ بھلا بتاؤ تو اگر اس کا عذاب تم پر رات کو آئے یا دن کو تو اس میں وہ کونسی چیز ہے کہ مجرموں کو جس کی جلدی ہے،?

Bethink you: if I am(acting) on a clear proof from my Lord and He sustaineth me with fair sustenance from Him(how can I concede aught to you)?
دیک ھو تو اگر میں اپنے پروردگار کی طرف سے دلیل روشن پر ہوں اور اس نے اپنے ہاں سے مج ھے نیک روزی دی?

Bethink they that We hear not their secrets and whispers? Yea! We do, and Our messengers present with them write down.
یا ان کا خیال یہ ہے کہ ہم ان کے راز اور خفیہ باتوں کو نہیں سن سکتے ہیں تو ہم کیا ہمارے نمائندے سب کچھ لکھ رہے ہیں

کیا اِنہوں نے یہ سمجھ رکھا ہے کہ ہم اِن کی راز کی باتیں اور اِن کی سرگوشیاں سنتے نہیں ہیں؟ ہم سب کچھ سن رہے ہیں اور ہمارے فرشتے اِن کے پاس ہی لکھ رہے ہیں

تو ہم اپنا کام پکا کرنے والے ہیں کیا اس گھمنڈ میں ہیں کہ ہم ان کی آہستہ بات اور ان کی مشورت نہیں سنتے، ہاں کیوں نہیں اور ہمارے فرشتے ان کے پاس لکھ رہے ہیں

Say thou: bethink ye if Allah destroy me and those with me; or have mercy on us, who will protect the infidels from a torment afflictive?
کہہ دو بھلادیکھو تو سہی اگر الله مجھے اور میرے ساتھ والوں کو ہلاک کرے یا ہم پر رحم کرے پھر وہ کون ہے جو منکروں کو دردناک عذاب سے بچا سکے?

Say thou: bethink ye if Allah destroy me and those with me; or have mercy on us, who will protect the infidels from a torment afflictive?
تم فرماؤ بھلا دیکھو تو اگر اللہ مجھے اور میرے ساتھ والوں کو بلاک کردے یا ہم پر رحم فرمائے تو وہ کونسا ہے جو کافروں کو دکھ کے عذاب سے بچالے گا?

تم فرماؤ بھلا دیکھو تو اگر اللہ ہمیشہ تم پر قیامت تک رات رکھے تو اللہ کے سوا کون خدا ہے جو تمہیں روشنی لادے تو کیا تم سنتے نہیں?

Say thou: bethink ye! if it is really from Allah and then ye disbelieve therein, then who is further astray than one who is in schism far-off?
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ کیا تمہیں یہ خیال ہے اگر یہ قرآن خدا کی طرف سے ہے اور تم نے اس کا انکار کردیا تو اس سے زیادہ کون گمراہ ہوگا جو اس سے اتنا سخت اختلاف کرنے والا ہو?

کہو بھلا دیکھو تو اگر خدا تم پر ہمیشہ قیامت کے دن تک رات(کی تاریکی) کئے رہے تو خدا کے سوا کون معبود ہے ہے جو تم کو روشنی لا دے تو کیا تم سنتے نہیں؟?

Bethink they not that Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and was not fatigued with the creation thereof, is able to quicken the dead? Aye! verily He is over everything Potent.
کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا جس الله نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کرنے میں نہیں تھکا اس پر قاد رہے کہ مردوں کو زندہ کردے کیوں نہیں وہ تو ہر ایک چیز پر قادر ہے

کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ جس خدا نے آسمان و زمین کو پیدا کیا ہے اور وہ ان کی تخلیق سے عاجز نہیں تھا وہ اس بات پر بھی قادر ہے کہ مفِدوں کو زندہ کردے کہ یقینا وہ ہر شے پر قدرت رکھنے والا ہے

Say thou: bethink ye of that which Allah hath sent down unto you of provision, and ye have then made thereof allowable and forbidden? Say thou: is it that Allah hath given you leave, or fabricate ye a lie against Allah?
کہہ دو بھلا دیکھو تو الله نے تمہارے لیے جو رزق نازل فرمایاہے تم نے اس میں سے بعض کو حرام اوربعض کو حلال کر دیا کہہ دو الله نے تمہیں حکم دیا ہے یا الله پر افترا کرتے ہو?

Say thou: bethink ye of that which Allah hath sent down unto you of provision, and ye have then made thereof allowable and forbidden? Say thou: is it that Allah hath given you leave, or fabricate ye a lie against Allah?
تم فرماؤ بھلا بتاؤ تو وہ جو اللہ نے تمہارے لیے رزق اتارا اس میں تم نے اپنی طرف سے حرام و حلال ٹھہرالیا تم فرماؤ کیا اللہ نے اس کی تمہیں اجازت دی یا اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھتے ہو?

He said: bethink ye, O my people! if I rested upon an evidence from my Lord, and a mercy hath come unto me from Him, and that hath been obscured unto you, Shall we make you adhere to it while ye are averse thereto?
بولا اے میری قوم! بھلا بتاؤ تو اگر میں اپنے رب کی طرف سے دلیل پر ہوں اور اس نے مجھے اپنے پاس سے رحمت بخشی تو تم اس سے اندھے رہے، کیا ہم اسے تمہارے گلے چپیٹ(چپکا)دیں اور تم بیزار ہو?

He said: O my people! Bethink you, if I rely on a clear proof from my Lord and there hath come unto me a mercy from His presence, and it hath been made obscure to you, can we compel you to accept it when ye are averse thereto?
بولا اے میری قوم! بھلا بتاؤ تو اگر میں اپنے رب کی طرف سے دلیل پر ہوں اور اس نے مجھے اپنے پاس سے رحمت بخشی تو تم اس سے اندھے رہے، کیا ہم اسے تمہارے گلے چپیٹ(چپکا)دیں اور تم بیزار ہو?

Say thou: bethink ye of that which Allah hath sent down unto you of provision, and ye have then made thereof allowable and forbidden? Say thou: is it that Allah hath given you leave, or fabricate ye a lie against Allah?
کہو کہ بھلا دیکھو تو خدا نے تمھارے لئے جو رزق نازل فرمایا تو تم نے اس میں سے(بعض کو) حرام ٹھہرایا اور(بعض کو) حلال(ان سے) پوچھو کیا خدا نے تم کو اس کا حکم دیا ہے یا تم خدا پر افتراء کرتے ہو?

Say thou: bethink ye of that which Allah hath sent down unto you of provision, and ye have then made thereof allowable and forbidden? Say thou: is it that Allah hath given you leave, or fabricate ye a lie against Allah?
آپ کہیے کہ یہ تو بتاؤ کہ اللہ نے تمہارے لیے جو کچھ رزق بھیجا تھا پھر تم نے اس کا کچھ حصہ حرام اور کچھ حلال قرار دے لیا۔ آپ پوچھیے کہ کیا تم کو اللہ نے حکم دیا تھا یا اللہ پر افترا ہی کرتے ہو؟?

Say thou: bethink ye: whatsoever ye call upon beside Allah- show me whatsoever they have created of the earth? Or have they any partnership in the heavens? Bring me a Book before this, Or some trace of knowledges if ye say sooth.
تم فرماؤ بھلا بتاؤ تو وہ جو تم اللہ کے سوا پوجتے ہو مجھے دکھاؤ انہوں نے زمین کا کون سا ذرہ بنایا یا آسمان میں ان کا کوئی حصہ ہے، میرے پاس لاؤ اس سے پہلی کوئی کتاب یا کچھ بچا کھچا علم اگر تم سچے ہو
