And Sulaiman became the successor of Daud and said, O people,'We have been taught the language of birds.
اور وارث ہوئے سلیمان داؤد کے اور کہا اے لوگو! ہمیں منطق الطیر(پرندوں کی بولیاں)سکھائی گئی ہیں"

We said,"O Daud, indeed We have made you a successor upon the earth, so judge between the people in truth and do not follow[your own] desire, as it will lead you astray from the way of Allah.".
اے داود! ہم نے تم کو زمین میں بادشاہ بنایا ہے تولوگوں میں انصاف کے فیصلے کیا کرواورخواہش کی پیروی نہ کرنا کہ تمہیں اللہ کے رستے سے بھٹکادے گی۔'

And assuredly We vouchsafed unto Daud and Sulaiman a knowledge, and the twain said: praise unto Allah Who hath preferred us above many of His believing bondmen!
(دوسری طرف) ہم نے داؤدؑ و سلیمانؑ کو علم عطا کیا اور انہوں نے کہا کہ شکر ہے اُس خدا کا جس نے ہم کو اپنے بہت سے مومن بندوں پر فضیلت عطا کی!

So We gave the understanding thereof unto Sulaiman; and unto each We vouchsafed judgment and knowledge. And We so subjected the mountains that they shall hallow us along with Daud, and also the birds; and We were the doers.
ہم نے وہ معاملہ سلیمان کو سمجھادیا اور دونوں کو حکومت اور علم عطا کیا اور داؤد کے ساتھ پہاڑ مسخر فرمادیے کہ تسبیح کرتے اور پرندے اور یہ ہمارے کام تھے

پھر ہم نے وہ فیصلہ سلیمان کو سمجھا دیا اور ہر ایک کو ہم نے حکمت اور علم دیا تھا اور ہم نے داؤد کے ساتھ پہاڑ او رپرندے تابع کیے جو تسبیح کیا کرتے تھے اور یہ سب کچھ ہم ہی کرنے والے تھے

Verily We have revealed unto thee even as We revealed unto Nuh and the prophets after him, and as We revealed unto Ibrahim and Isma'il and Is-haq and Ya'qub and the tribes, and'Isa and Ayyub and Yunus and Harun and Sulaiman, and unto Daud We vouchsafed a Scripture.

O Daud', Undoubtedly, We have made you a vicegerent in the earth, therefore order between mankind withtruth, and follow not desire, otherwise it would cause you to go astray from the path of Allah.
اے داؤد ہم نے تمہیں زمین میں خلیفہ بنا لیا لہذا تم لوگوں کے درمیان حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ کرو(یا ان پر حکومت کرو) اور خواہش نفس کی پیروی نہ کرو ورنہ وہ تمہیں اللہ کی راہ سے بھٹکا دے گی۔ص
