What aileth you that ye expect not in Allah majesty!
تمہیں کیا ہو گیا تم الله کی عظمت کا خیال نہیں رکھتے!

Those who expect not the meeting with Us but desire the life of the world and feel secure therein, and those who are neglectful of Our revelations.
جن لوگوں کو ہم سے ملنے کی توقع نہیں اور دنیا کی زندگی سے خوش اور اسی پر مطئمن ہو بیٹھے اور ہماری نشانیوں سے غافل ہو رہے ہیں

What aileth you that ye expect not in Allah majesty!
تمہیں کیا ہوا اللہ سے عزت حاصل کرنے کی امید نہیں کرتے!

Lo! those who expect not the meeting with Us but desire the life of the world and feel secure therein, and those who are neglectful of Our revelations.
بیشک وہ جو ہمارے ملنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے اور دنیا کی زندگی پسند کر بیٹھے اور اس پر مطمئن ہوگئے اور وہ جو ہماری آیتوں سے غفلت کرتے ہیں

What aileth you that ye expect not in Allah majesty!
آخر تمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ تم خدا کی عظمت کا خیال نہیں کرتے ہو!

And those who expect not a meeting with us(i.e. those who deny the Day of Resurrection and the life of the Hereafter) said:"Why are not the angels sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?"!
اور جو لوگ ہمارے پاس آنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے اوپر فرشتے کیوں نہیں اتارے گئے؟ یا ہم اپنے پروردگار کو ہی دیکھ لیتے!

What aileth you that ye expect not in Allah majesty!
تمہیں کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ اللہ کے لیے تم کسی وقار کی توقع نہیں رکھتے؟!

And do not weaken in pursuit of the enemy. If you should be suffering- so are they suffering as you are suffering, but you expect from Allah that which they expect not. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
اور کافروں کی تلاش میں سستی نہ کرو اگر تمہیں دکھ پہنچتا ہے تو انہیں بھی دکھ پہنچتا ہے جیسا تمہیں پہنچتا ہے، اورتم اللہ سے وہ امید رکھتےہو جو وہ نہیں رکھتے، ور اللہ جاننے والا حکمت والا ہے

Say,[O Muhammad], to those who have believed that they[should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allah so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.
ایمان وا لوں سے فرماؤ درگزریں ان سے جو اللہ کے دنوں کی امید نہیں رکھتے تاکہ اللہ ایک قوم کو اس کی کمائی کا بدلہ دے

And those who expect not for a Meeting with Us(i.e. those who deny the Day of Resurrection and the life of the Hereafter), say:"Why are not the angels sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they think too highly of themselves, and are scornful with great pride.
اور بولے وہ جو ہمارے ملنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے ہم پر فرشتے کیوں نہ اتارے یا ہم اپنے رب کو دیکھتے بیشک اپنے جی میں بہت ہی اونچی کھینچی(سرکشی کی) اور بڑی سرکشی پر آئے

Say,[O Muhammad], to those who have believed that they[should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allah so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.
آپ صاحبانِ ایمان سے کہہ دیں کہ وہ خدائی دنوں کی توقع نہ رکھنے والوں سے درگزر کریں تاکہ خدا قوم کو ان کے اعمال کا مکمل بدلہ دے سکے

اور ان لوگوں نے کہا جو ہم سے ملنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے کہ ہمارے پاس فرشتے کیوں نہ بھیجے گئے یا ہم اپنے رب کو دیکھ لیتے البتہ انہوں نے اپنے آپ کو بہت بڑاسمجھ لیا ہے اور بہت بڑی سرکشی کی ہے

ان سے کہہ دو جو ایمان لائے کہ انہیں معاف کر دیں ایام الٰہی(عذاب) کی امید نہیں رکھتے تاکہ وہ ایک قوم کو بدلہ دے اس کا جو وہ کرتے رہے

And do not weaken in pursuit of the enemy. If you should be suffering- so are they suffering as you are suffering, but you expect from Allah that which they expect not. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
اِس گروہ کے تعاقب میں کمزوری نہ دکھاؤ اگر تم تکلیف اٹھا رہے ہو تو تمہاری طرح وہ بھی تکلیف اٹھا رہے ہیں اور تم اللہ سے اُس چیز کے امیدوار ہو جس کے وہ امیدوار نہیں ہیں اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے اور وہ حکیم و دانا ہے

اس(مخالف) جماعت کی تلاش اور تعاقب میں سستی نہ دکھاؤ۔ اگر اس میں تمہیں تکلیف پہنچتی ہے۔ تو انہیں بھی اسی طرح تکلیف پہنچتی ہے۔ جس طرح تمہیں پہنچتی ہے اور تم اللہ سے اس چیز(ثواب) کے امیدوار ہو جس کے وہ امیدوار نہیں ہیں اور اللہ بڑا جاننے والا، بڑی حکمت والا ہے

So say to those who have believed that they[should] forgive those who expect not the days of God so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.
تُو اُن سے جو ایمان لائے ہیں، کہہ دے کہ ان لوگوں سے بخشش کا سلوک کریں جو اللہ کے دنوں کی امید نہیں رکھتے تا کہ وہ خود ایسی قوم کو اس کے مطابق جزا دے جو وہ کسب کرتے رہے ہیں

(اے رسول(ص)) ایمان والوں سے کہیے! کہ وہ ان لوگوں سے درگزر کریں جو اللہ کے(خاص) دنوں کی امید نہیں رکھتے تاکہ اللہ ایک قوم کو اس کے ان سارے اعمال کا بدلہ دے جو وہ کیا کرتے تھے

( 14) Say,[O Muhammad], to those who have believed that they[should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allah so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.
تُو اُن سے جو ایمان لائے ہیں، کہہ دے کہ ان لوگوں سے بخشش کا سلوک کریں جو اللہ کے دنوں کی امید نہیں رکھتے تا کہ وہ خود ایسی قوم کو اس کے مطابق جزا دے جو وہ کسب کرتے رہے ہیں

Tell[O Muhammad], to those who have believed to forgive those who expect not the days of Allah[i.e., of His retribution] so that He may recompense a people1471 for what they used to earn.
تُو اُن سے جو ایمان لائے ہیں، کہہ دے کہ ان لوگوں سے بخشش کا سلوک کریں جو اللہ کے دنوں کی امید نہیں رکھتے تا کہ وہ خود ایسی قوم کو اس کے مطابق جزا دے جو وہ کسب کرتے رہے ہیں

اور تم(دشمن) قوم کی تلاش میں سستی نہ کرو۔ اگر تمہیں(پیچھا کرنے میں) تکلیف پہنچتی ہے تو انہیں بھی(تو ایسی ہی) تکلیف پہنچتی ہے جیسی تکلیف تمہیں پہنچ رہی ہے حالانکہ تم اللہ سے(اجر و ثواب کی) وہ امیدیں رکھتے ہو جو اُمیدیں وہ نہیں رکھتے۔ اور اللہ خوب جاننے والا بڑی حکمت والا ہے

And were Allah to hasten for mankind the evil(they invoke for themselves and for their children, etc. while in a state of anger) as He hastens for them the good(they invoke) then they would have been ruined. So We leave those who expect not their meeting with Us, in their trespasses, wandering blindly in distraction.Tafsir At-Tabari; Vol. 11.
اور اگر اللہ لوگوں پر برائی ایسی جلدبھیجتا جیسی وہ بھلائی کی جلدی کرتے ہیں تو ان کا وعدہ پورا ہوچکا ہوتا تو ہم چھوڑتے انہیں جو ہم سے ملنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے کہ اپنی سرکشی میں بھٹکا کریں

And were Allah to hasten for mankind the evil(they invoke for themselves and for their children, etc. while in a state of anger) as He hastens for them the good(they invoke) then they would have been ruined.
