یہ وہی ہیں کہ اللہ نے ان کے دلوں پر اور کانوں پر اور آنکھوں پر مہر کر دی اور وہی غافل بھی ہیں

اور ان میں سے بعض تمہارے ارشاد سنتے ہیں یہاں تک کہ جب تمہارے پاس سے نکل کر جائیں علم والوں سے کہتے ہیں ابھی انہوں نے کیا فرمایا یہ ہیں وہ جن کے دلوں پر اللہ نے مہر کردی اور اپنی خواہشوں کے تابع ہوئے

Those are they upon whose hearts, hearing, and eyes God has set a seal, and those are they who are unmindful, heedless.
یہ وہ لوگ ہیں کہ اللہ نے ان کے دلوں پر اور ان کے کانوں پر اور ان کی آنکھوں پر مُہر لگا دی ہے اور یہی لوگ ہی(آخرت کے انجام سے) غافل ہیںo

And some of them there are give ear to thee, till, when they go forth from thee, they say to those who have been given knowledge,'What said he just now?' Those are they upon whose hearts God has set a seal, and they have followed their caprices.
اور ان میں سے بعض تمہارے ارشاد سنتے ہیں یہاں تک کہ جب تمہارے پاس سے نکل کر جائیں علم والوں سے کہتے ہیں ابھی انہوں نے کیا فرمایا یہ ہیں وہ جن کے دلوں پر اللہ نے مہر کردی اور اپنی خواہشوں کے تابع ہوئے

Have you seen he who has taken as his god his[own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah? Then will you not be reminded?
بھلا آپ نے اس کو بھی دیکھا جو اپنی خواہش کا بندہ بن گیا اور الله نے باوجود سمجھ کے اسے گمراہ کر دیا اور اس کے کان اور دل پر مہر کر دی اور اس کی آنکھوں پر پردہ ڈال دیا پھر الله کے بعد اسے کون ہدایت کر سکتا ہے پھر تم کیوں نہیں سمجھتے?

The way(to blame) is only against those who ask permission of you though they are rich; they have chosen to be with those who remained behind, and Allah has set a seal upon their hearts so they do not know.
(الزام کی) راہ تو فقط ان لوگوں پر ہے جو آپ سے رخصت طلب کرتے ہیں حالانکہ وہ مال دار ہیں، وہ اس بات سے خوش ہیں کہ وہ پیچھے رہ جانے والی عورتوں اور معذوروں کے ساتھ رہیں اور اللہ نے ان کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دی ہے، سو وہ جانتے ہی نہیں(کہ حقیقی سود و زیاں کیا ہے)

Have you seen he who has taken as his god his[own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah? Then will you not be reminded?
بھلا تم نے اس شخص کو دیکھا جس نے اپنی خواہش کو معبود بنا رکھا ہے اور باوجود جاننے بوجھنے کے(گمراہ ہو رہا ہے تو) خدا نے(بھی) اس کو گمراہ کردیا اور اس کے کانوں اور دل پر مہر لگا دی اور اس کی آنکھوں پر پردہ ڈال دیا۔ اب خدا کے سوا اس کو کون راہ پر لاسکتا ہے۔ بھلا تم کیوں نصیحت نہیں پکڑتے؟?

And there are those of them who seek to listen to you, until when they go forth from you, they say to those who have been given the knowledge: What was it that he said just now? These are they upon whose hearts Allah has set a seal and they follow their low desires.
اور ان میں سے بعض تمہارے ارشاد سنتے ہیں یہاں تک کہ جب تمہارے پاس سے نکل کر جائیں علم والوں سے کہتے ہیں ابھی انہوں نے کیا فرمایا یہ ہیں وہ جن کے دلوں پر اللہ نے مہر کردی اور اپنی خواہشوں کے تابع ہوئے

Have you then considered him who takes his low desire for his god, and Allah has made him err having knowledge and has set a seal upon his ear and his heart and put a covering upon his eye. Who can then guide him after Allah? Will you not then be mindful?
بھلا تم نے اس شخص کو دیکھا جس نے اپنی خواہش کو معبود بنا رکھا ہے اور باوجود جاننے بوجھنے کے(گمراہ ہو رہا ہے تو) خدا نے(بھی) اس کو گمراہ کردیا اور اس کے کانوں اور دل پر مہر لگا دی اور اس کی آنکھوں پر پردہ ڈال دیا۔ اب خدا کے سوا اس کو کون راہ پر لاسکتا ہے۔ بھلا تم کیوں نصیحت نہیں پکڑتے؟?

The way is open only against those who ask leave of thee, being rich; they are well-pleased to be with those behind; God has set a seal on their hearts, so they know not.
الزام تو ان لوگوں پر ہے۔ جو دولت مند ہیں اور(پھر) تم سے اجازت طلب کرتے ہیں(یعنی) اس بات سے خوش ہیں کہ عورتوں کے ساتھ جو پیچھے رہ جاتی ہیں(گھروں میں بیٹھ) رہیں۔ خدا نے ان کے دلوں پر مہر کردی ہے پس وہ سمجھتے ہی نہیں

Then because of their breaking their covenant, their defiance of Allah's signs, their killing of the prophets unjustly and for their saying,‘Our hearts are uncircumcised'… Indeed, Allah has set a seal on them for their unfaith, so they do not have faith except a few.
(لیکن انہوں نے عہد کو توڑ ڈالا) تو ان کے عہد توڑ دینے اور خدا کی آیتوں سے کفر کرنے اور انبیاء کو ناحق مار ڈالنے اور یہ کہنے کے سبب کہ ہمارے دلوں پر پردے(پڑے ہوئے) ہیں۔(خدا نے ان کو مردود کردیا اور ان کے دلوں پر پردے نہیں ہیں) بلکہ ان کے کفر کے سبب خدا نے ان پر مہر کردی ہے تو یہ کم ہی ایمان لاتے ہیں
