You should see both a“Find what:” and a“Replace with:” box.
In the Replace with box, enter the replacement text.
Type^t in the Find what box and leave the Replace with box empty.
Make sure that the Replace with box is empty, and then click All.
Type the word or phrase you want to replace it with in the"Replace with" box.
Leave the Replace with box blank, then go to Replace All.
For example, type(Newman)(Belinda) in theFind what box and \2 \1 in the Replace with box.
Make sure that the Replace with box is empty, and then click All.
If you want to run a replace operation,type your replacement string in the Replace With box.
Note: You can leave the Replace With box blank if you want to remove the quotation marks entirely.
To replace the quotation marks with another value, enter that value in the Replace With box.
In the Find What box, enter the text you want to search for, and in the Replace With box, enter the text you want to use as the replacement.
If you are replacing the null value with other data,enter the new data in the Replace With box.
Word automatically numbers those groups from left to right(behind the scenes),so in the“Replace With” box, we can call those groups by number using a preceding backslash.
Click the“Replace” button to replace the currently selected result with whatever text is in the“Replace With” box.
To replace text or numbers, type the replacement characters in the Replace with box(or leave this box blank to replace the characters with nothing), and then click Find or Find All.
If you are replacing the zero-length strings with other data,enter the new data in the Replace With box.
Here, for example, in our“Replace With” box we're using the text“\2 \1” and that tells Word to replace what it finds by placing the second grouping(the name Amelia) in the first position and the first grouping(the name Griggs) in the second position.
Step 4:Type the target repeated text into the Find what box and^c into the Replace with box, as the following figure shows.
If you want to replace the text you find with something else, type the replacement text into the“Replace With” box.
Or press shortcuts CTRL+H, but thistime enter“” in the Find what box, and“=” in the Replace with box, and click Replace All.
Enter a period with two spaces into the"Find what" box anda period with only one space into the"Replace with" box.
Click in the box next to Replace with.
In the Find and Replace dialog, please enter an asterisk and period(*.) into the Find what text box,and type only period(.) into the Replace with text box under Replace tab, see screenshot.
