Classifications of activities/products.
Workshops in cooperation with ECA andESCAP on implementation of economic classifications of activities and products 2000 and 2001.
The four broad classifications of activities increased visibility and clarity about UNDP investment in development effectiveness and management activities, and further strengthened UNDP commitment to greater budgetary transparency and accountability as well as results-based reporting of organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
By consistency between register data,we mean that linking information from different registers should give consistent classifications of activities for all persons.

These activities are an important component of the work of women and, to some degree, of the work of men in developing countries butare not defined in most classifications of activities for data collection on time use.
Notes with appreciation that UNDP, UNFPA and the United Nations Children's Fund, as set out in the road map,will jointly review existing cost definitions and classifications of activities and associated costs, including those related to cost recovery, and in that regard emphasizes the need to explore cost recovery broadly, including both fixed and variable indirect costs;
Some recommendations were made by Eurostat(Eurostat 1990, p. 5);in the same paper some ideas were also given for the relationships between the functional classifications and the classifications of activities and products Eurostat 1990, p. 6-8.
