The draft resolution would also reiterate its invitation to Governments to submit comments and observations on the draft articles on the prevention of transboundary damage from hazardous activities under the topic of international liability for injurious consequences arising out of acts not prohibited by international law, and on national legislation, decisions of domestic courts and State practice relevant to diplomatic protection.
At its sixty-first session, the General Assembly took note of the draft articles on diplomatic protection adopted by the International Law Commission at its fifty-eighth session, in 2006,invited Governments to submit comments concerning the recommendation of the Commission that the Assembly elaborate a convention on the basis of the draft articles, and decided to include in the provisional agenda of its sixty-second session an item entitled"Diplomatic protection" resolution 61/35.
As has been mentioned above(para. 3),the General Assembly during its regular fifty-second session once again invited Governments to submit comments on the practical problems raised by succession of States affecting the nationality of legal persons in order to assist the Commission in deciding on its future work on this portion of the topic.
