On 16 September 2004, China deposited with the Secretary-General, in accordance with article 16, paragraph 2, article 75,paragraph 2 and article 84, paragraph 2 of UNCLOS, the list of geographical coordinates of points specified in the Agreement between the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam on the Delimitation of the Territorial Sea, the Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf in Beibu Bay/Gulf of Tonkin, which was signed by the two countries on 25 December 2000, and officially took effect on 30 June 2004.
