The aim of the recommendations for the guidance of contractors is to define the biological, chemical, geological and physical components to be measured and the procedures to be followed by the contractor to ensure the effective protection of the marine environment from harmful effects which may arise from its activities in the Area, andto provide guidance to prospective contractors in preparing plans of work for exploration for polymetallic nodules.
The aim of the Recommendations for Guidance is to define the biological, chemical, geological and physical components to be measured and the procedures to be followed by the Contractor to ensure the effective protection of the marine environment from harmful effects which may arise from itsactivities in the Area, and to provide guidance to prospective contractors in preparing plans of work for exploration for polymetallic nodules.
